can anybody tell me where FnG and PAGG are located @?
I think PAGGs @
Nelson Dr, Newport News, VA…Not sure about the number. Just google Play Around Golf.
Yea man I’ve been going back to my video game roots hardcore as hell. WoW lost a lot of it’s hold over me last year so things are a lot more sociable. I think my bro is throwing a Halloween party here so things should be jumping Halloween Night.

so is lynchburg a part of this thread too? and does anything ever go down near lynchburg…i may be moving there soon
Ok for you guys wanting to change the settings on the MvC2 cab in Arlingtion, VA, I’ve tried everything and this is the last resort, so do this:
-Go to www.tilt.com
-Click on the leftmost bear which says “Contact” and wait for the animation to finish (God it’s so gay)
-Fill out the required info and in the “Describe you request in detail” say something to the effect that the MvC2 cabinet in the Arlington, VA mall is set on max damage when it should be at the default setting of 2. Also say you’ll let them know when the cabinet has been changed. This contact form goes straight to Kevin Jordan, the CEO of Tilt (no joking, when I used this form to hold a Marvel tourney he emailed my RM asking who is this kid bothering him) so please keep it civil and mature:wink: I filled out a request last week, so feel free to make one yourself.
Also on a side note I put HAPP competition buttons and soon HAPP 360’s (this weekend) in the MvC2 cab in the Tilt in Colonial Heights, have fun.

New buttons for marvel are cool. But, what would really make me happy is if you get new arrows for your DDR machine and hold DDR tournaments for me and Deondre to dominate.
lol ddr…that game is ummmmmmmmmmmmm yea yea
anywho im trying to play some arcana hearts muhahahahahaha
anybody going treat or treating?!?!?! besides me?
DDR is fun until you realize you are playing DDR. Then you continue normal life.
DDR is more popular than Street Fighter guys.
He’s right, guys don’t hate on something you’ve never given a chance. Art I’ve seen you on the pads, don’t front like that.
As for the tournies they used to be held but no one showed up Wohn. Besides you must defeat Deondre to stand a chance.
My name is spelled Hoan
It depends how you win too.
The way we used to have matches 4 years ago at VCC was song was random. Most important criteria was who had the higher grade. If we both got the same grade, then it was 1 point for great, 5 points for good, 10 points for a poor, 20 points for a miss. Whoever had the lowest points would win. But of course, you’d need a perfect pad for that.
Song settings are your choice as long as it doesn’t change the arrows of the song. Bag is only done at 1x. So, that won’t favor people who try to memorize songs and force other people to play on invisible.
YOU lieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Streetfighter is better than DDr
Dont Dance Right->DDr
Besides yall cant beat Devon
I used to play DDR avidly completing multiple 10’s and Bag nor x1 before i stopped. I’m glad I stopped because I recieved no enjoyment from playing the game towards the end. And DDR is not bigger than Street Fighter. Not by a long shot in the dark.
Quick edit as well we have someone here who plays In the groove and complete’s 14’s on a regular. Guys nuts.
as far as mainstream popularity right now goes. Its not even close, DDR is the #1 selling point in all of arcades. I mean, literally, DDR is 10 times more popular than Street Fighter. I’m sure Kevin will agree and provide proof at his arcade at least with actual numbers. Depends what you mean by “bigger” though. As far as how many people play it right now, how mainstream, how many people play competitively. Its not even close, DDR is way bigger right now. DDR is the greatest arcade game of the last 10 years and is the Super Mario Bros. of interactive arcade games.
I mean, even if I compare it now and back when I used to play DDR at arcades all the time. Right now, geez, I only know maybe less than 10 people I could possibly play with in Street Fighter once a week. 3 years ago when I visit the arcade on Fridays, theres like 50 regulars who go there specificly to get good at DDR. I had to search for street fighter players on this forum. Just go to arcade and see tons of DDR players. But, from what I read, VCC is one of the most popular arcades (actually from what I see at ddrfreak a few years ago, the most popular arcade) in VA for DDR.
And that was your downfall right there. Between online play, tournaments. special worldwide vents, and general fan basis; Street Fighter is bigger than DDR. DDR is better at the arcade because you have maintained pads that are anchored and a sound system that lets you play better because the quality is better than a standard tv. Street fighter destroys DDR outright. You don’t have t go to an arcade to get the best street fighter experience possible as you would for DDR. In fact here’s a list of the most popular games of all time in order.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_age_of_arcade_games (suprise street fighter is there)
Oh, ok, so you think of it that way. I’m not wrong though, your definition of bigger, you didn’t mention it before. But, I agree with it in that light. Yeah, that wiki article is an all-time list I’m guessing. Didn’t read the whole thing but I take thats what it is. What I am refering to is the mainstream, going to the arcade, seeing more people who play, more gamers involved in that scene right now through just the perspective of meeting gamers. Like really, I know when I made this topic, I know tons of ddr players in Richmond. I don’t particularly like to be around them but they are there. Why? Cuz the scene is way more mainstream, very captivating to public viewers who might watch people play, then play themselves, plus its an innovative way to play games that capture the interest of non-gamers.
But, when I made this topic, I knew of ZERO Street Fighter players being around gamers. I don’t know about you, but you can’t just meet Street Fighter players at the arcade or unless you know where to look. I looked here, thats where they are. Thats because its doesn’t have a widespread, modern, fanbase as DDR.
Like, gamers around your neighborhood, you’d be hard pressed to find a Street Fighter player without going on the internet. DDR, tons of DDR players to the naked eye.
