There’s going to be a SF Alpha 3 tournament at a Gamestop inside Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, VA. They’ll be playing the Anthology version on PS2. The date is set for 10/20 @ 2pm.
Make sure you call to sign-up and confirm the time. The number I think is 486-0790. I don’t know what the prize is (ask them). And last I checked, there was around only 10 people signed-up. I won’t be there, because I’m going to the Tekken tourney in Richmond that same day, so if you’re not going either, then there’s something to look forward to.
Last I checked, SyberNinja has been rockin’ the Capcom games at VA Monthlies for a year or so now. I didn’t think there was anyone here that didn’t know him. Oh man, and I miss Foomy. He still around?
I’ve had 3rd Strike since it first came out on Dreamcast. Even though I’ve had it for almost 6 years, I never got competitive with it. I’ve only now just started to learn how to play it. I’m not very good, my execution/movement is pretty sloppy (not a stick-player), I make a lot of mistakes, and I can barely parry because I’m not familiar with all the timings. But that’s why I play at Greenbrier all the time, so I can get a little better every weekend. It’s a lot of fun, and I’m glad to see all of the new faces showing up.
I haven’t played competitive Guilty Gear in a very long time, but that’s because I don’t have anyone near me to play it with. I haven’t touched it since Reload. If Newport News ever picks up AC, lemme know. Hopefully we can play it at a PAGG monthly sometime, tournament or not.

my buddy ryry keeps trying to get me to green brier but f that place its the same distance to there that it is to PAGG for me
so i just figure PAGG is a way better place to chill lol
just less likely to run into random players like at a mall arcade
