Quite a few random people from youtube and srk have been asking me to post more vids. Unfortunately I don’t have any recent matches of mine captured, but I do have tons of old footage.
I’ve decided to upload some matches that I had against Damien almost a year ago. Naturally there’s a lot of noobish stuff from us both, but the games are still decent IMO. Damien is probably London’s best overall fighting games player - he just never likes entering tournaments :xeye:

Although i must ask a question that has started brewing in my head.
Has Ken and Ryu got higher damage output then Akuma?
For example Would Ryus HK and HP take more damage then Akumas?.
This might be totally wrong but it sure feels that way! those two bro’s hurt like a flipping freight train.

i just went into training mode and gave it a quick test. using Akuma as the dummy and doing a simple Hp close to him the game recorded the following damage for Ryu, Akuma and Ken
Akuma 24, Ryu and Ken 23
keep in mind this is only based on that single punch. i wouldnt be surprised if other attacks vary between who deals more damage
I have now read some guides to different people and it seems as though Ken and Ryu has higher damage output overall then Akuma.
I’m not sobbing just saying ^^ and the fact that akuma has worse stamina then ken and ryu doesn’t really help when you get hit with those freight train punches.

Things to consider though - Ken and Ryu cannot do a damaging combo without bar. The ones that they can do are easily dwarfed by Akuma’s BnB. I think Ken’s kara dp combos are the only exception. In fact Akuma doesn’t need bar to deal heavy damage combos, apart from the KKZ and maybe demon.
What was that KKZ combo you tried to do? Was it something like lk hurricane, fierce reset xx KKZ? That would have been savage if it had connected. Anyway, post more vids, please.
raishinx - I might be wrong but I think the combo in your vid isn’t accurate - it seems Ryu actually lands before getting hit - maybe you have the dummy on no guard? The thing which made me suspect it was the amount of damage it did - it looked like the kkz did its entire damage which it shouldnt do after the reset.

(right? ) i might have had the damage up, but i think if you hit them at a certain time it will do all nine hits, as it did there. i have always thought that was quite a bit of damage because ive certainly never gotten that much in a real match before.
