Video Games You Loved As A Child But Hate As An Adult

everyone who is really disappointed with how jrpgs are now a days needs to go to some game store and buy resonance of fate.
i was extremely caught off guard by this game. it is one of the best if not the best modern jrpg.

A lot of the old 3rd party NES side scrollers (barring the amazing Capcom games) are painful to play these days.

I don’t necessarily hate it, but I have less patience for Mortal Kombat today than when I did many years ago. I found it mildly amusing but now I just find it boring. Call me a heretic.

I kind of liked Sim City as well but find it unappealing now.

Clayfighter: Scupltor’s Cut. Love the gameplay and roster, but damn, no blocking during landing and turn around frames gets annoying.

Jungle Book SNES - Screw the waterfall stage.

Super Mario Sunshine - I just realized I spent several hours doing something I could do in real life; collect coins, find the sun, and clean shit with water.

Mario Party - the series got kinda kiddy. As an adult, you’d feel pretty stupid playing the game.

Read my post again, Sonicabid. In said they were ALL. ACTION. RPGS.

Not turn based, fool :arazz:

But if you hate the Wii, there’s no point in discussing any further

In no way do I hate it but I’ll prolly have to go with Pokemon too. I just can’t be bothered with the series.

Your avatar is freaking me out.

lol and here i was, literally about to change it but now i think i’ll just leave it on for you

Ballz and Clayfighter are abysmal. I loved them as a kid.

Boy. Woo! (Uh-huh.)

Sim City never gets old…

If you’re talking about SNES version, you can summon Bowser to fuck your city up…

The newer ones are even cooler, because of them realistic graphics… wayyyy better than the Sims where you’re managing fake people instead of keeping up with your real life…

Who wants to play a game that is real life lol… I play video games to escape reality…

Madden is a ripoff, but I like sports too much…

My homeboy buys Madden so I just play his copy with him and other people… online is fun, but head to head is better…

there was a game for sega cd that i had,i cant think of the name tho,it was a 1st person kung fu game with sluggish controls from what i remember, the game looked"real" too…anyone know the title?

I know I hope Tom Zito burns in Hell.

I can’t stand Smash 64 anymore, and any pokemon game past GSC. RSE was fun, but I was very, very disappointed that I couldn’t go to Kanto, and Johto regions.

NFL Blitz for the PS1 is still the shit though. It’s fun for like 30 minutes.

yoooooooooooooooooooooo, this was the game I haven’t seen this since like 94!it was called the Surpreme Warrior,I hated that game as a youngin:

Sim City itself is aight. Letting Bowser loose on your/a friend’s city to piss them off was good fun. I just don’t find as much appeal in them as I used to. Same goes for the other Sim games like Sim Park, Sim Safari, SimAnt, all to varying degrees (and played at different times).

The new SimCity looks prety cool, though. Last one I played was 4 a long time ago.

I kind of want to play Rollercoaster Tycoon, now, just to see how it aged.

art of fighting
sf2 hyper fighting

That Tazmania game for the Snes forgot the name. Oh and some fishing game for the gameboy color.

edit: found it… damn this shit was booty lmao

Power Stone and sequel. Loved it to death in my late middle school/freshman years, but in the end it’s just an item chucking mash-fest. You know a “fighting” game can’t be taken seriously when your only form of defense is hugging walls.

^I liked Tazmanian devil on Game Gear alot

pokemon diamond and pearl were pretty good, B and W was trash
