Dude…

THIS game/music…

I misread your post, of course you COULD try checking the site that’s been referenced 100 times in this thread.

People seemed to have slept on this post…did anyone check this out yet?

Here’s a sample of a midi I converted into an mp3, from one of my favorite games of all time.

Journey to Silius (NES)

Nevermind

Much thanks, Jida! I couldn’t for the life of me find that site. I thought they had closed down or something. Glad its still around.

The main page has been updated with new links. If anyone has a link they want me to post up on the main page, just let me know.

FighterX, I did indeed check out that Dark Stalkers DDR Mix track. Really enjoyed it.

One nes game I remember had a bad-ass soundtrack. The gameplay was repetitive, but the music was just so good I kept playing: Astyanax.

Here you go, sir. http://www.orchnestra.com/gamepages/Astaynax/astaynaxpage.htm

Anyone know where you can find the OSTs or remixed music for Zanac? The theme for stage 1 owned on so many levels.

I thought no one remembered that but me. The first level theme is permanently stuck in my head and I remember it from time-to-time. :lovin:

Here’s a few picks from me. The ONLY driving games I dont mute the music on.

SHIT!!! Didn’t see this on there:

Ducktales by Capcom NES.

Hey…anyone here ever play Balloon Kid for gameboy? For a, what, 1st-gen gameboy game, it had a sweet, whimsical soundtrack. Better than Mario Land. Threatening sometimes, bittersweet at others…whoever did that with the Gameboy’s pathetic audio capabilities deserves props.

Play it? I’ve got a copy. Paid like $7.99 for it a few years back. I wasn’t able to find the OST for it, but I was able to find some MIDIs from the game here. http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/4/5

Great recommendations! I can especially vouch for the MK3 Graveyard (my favorite track on the game). In TMNT 3, Sky City is the only track I ever remember from that game, but you had the April O’ Neil Stage link up for that one, lol. You meant this link:

TMNT 3 - City Stage - City on a Halfshell
http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/5494/17

For SvC, don’t forget the Forest Stage and the Ruins…those are pretty good as well.

On another note, come to think of it, I’d never heard the TMNT Sega Genny soundtrack…that April O’ Neil is pretty damned good!

This track gets you pumped up to play F-Zero! http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/820/21

Moon Stage is GOD Tier.

I’ll help you out with that X4 Soundtrack. I picked up the MMX and MM CD collections a few years ago.

OK, I’m gonna give out some MIDI recommendations

Indeed it is. To everyone that loves the Moon Stage for Duck Tales (should be everyone in this thread) I highly encourage you to DL the MIDIs. These are like 7 different versions of the Moon theme alone and they are well worth hearing.
http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/109

If you love the Mega Man OSTs, then you’ve got to check out the MIDIS. There are all kinds of special mixes from the Classic and X series. Highly recommended.
-Mega Man http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/207
-Mega Man 2 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/208
-Mega Man 3 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/209
-Mega Man 4 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/210
-Mega Man 5 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/211
-Mega Man 6 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/212
-Mega Man 7 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/151
-Mega Man & Bass (Rockman & Forte) http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/202
-Mega Man 8 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/18/97

-Mega Man X http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/153
-Mega Man X2 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/154
-Mega Man X3 http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/155

Its a lot to DL but MIDIs eat up jack on Harddrive space. I’d use the links from Mirsoft, but their their files don’t have all of the special mixes found at the above
links.

The two Lufia games on the SNES have fantastic music and it seems like neither title never gets the credit they really deserve. The MIDIs are just as dope as the OSTs.

-Lufia & The Fortress of Doom http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/145
-Lufia II: Rise of The Sinistrals http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/143

Don’t know if anyone remembers the Cool Spot game for just about every system back in '93. The bonus stage had dope theme. Haven’t been able to find an OST for this track but the MIDI is pretty sweet. http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/51/3

I always thought the track that played on stage 5 of Super Double Dragon was tight. http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/253/19

I have a bunch of those MM Midis, and I recommended them! Also, thanks for the Super Double Dragon track…I’d completely forgotten about that. Now, I have to d/l a midi-to-mp3 converter so I can put that on my mp3 player.

I’m going to recommend the F-Zero Arrange Collection as well. It’s real smooth jazzy listening.

F-Zero Arrange
http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/147

I’ve always liked Stage 3 from Battletoad vs. Double Dragon on NES/SNES. This is one of the cases in which I like the NES ST better than the SNES ST. Favorite part is 00:30 seconds in.

In the NES version, I think the back beat sounded off a little better…

Aww, you beat me to it. I was gonna recommend the F-Zero Arrange Collection today. I heard it for the first time Saturday night. Couldn’t believe how lovely it sounded. That stuff is HOT!! HOT!!! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTT!!!  That’s some love-makin’ music right there! ALL of you DL this!! NOW!!!

It’s been years since I played Battletoads & Double Dragon. Gotta check out the music again.

Oh and about the MMX4, music, FighterX, you are a saint.:china:

I actually had this game on SNES and Genesis back in the day. Also my favorite level music.

This MIDI version is the SHIT:

http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/Level_3_2.mid

I have it ripped to MP3, with slightly more bass.

Double Dragon 2 on NES KICKS ALL KINDS OF ASS. Someone please put it up! 3 other games I recommend is:

Rad Racer(all)
Rad Rader 2(all)
Rescue the Embassy mission (all)

Theres games only have like 2-3 tracks. All are NES. Would appreciate these!

*Rad Racer http://www.orchnestra.com/gamepages/RadRacer/radracerpage.htm
*Rad Racer II http://orchnestra.com/gamepages/RadRacer2/radracer2page.htm
*Double Dragon II http://orchnestra.com/gamepages/DoubleDragon2/doubledragon2page.htm

Wasn’t able to find Rescue Embassy.

Gald I’m not the only one who digs MIDIs. :lovin:
