Video Game Music Thread Ver. Once More With FEELING!

I have a request.

A while back, someone posted up a rap song that was done over a remix of the FFVII Battle Theme. I believe the name of the song was “We G’s” or something like that.

Can someone upload it? I lost it when my computer crashed.

Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind, found it.

Ah, I’m okay, I guess. I have my good days. Here’s the link!

Can you post a yousendit.com link with the mp3 version? I think I’ve used up my free trial time on any midi/mp3 converter you can think of!

I’ve got another recommendation:

Battle Arena Toshinden 1 OST
http://shadowhaxor.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=84

Recommended tracks: Eiji, Rungo, Ellis

ahem

Thanks.

I’ve actually made the MP3’s from these games but I had to play Rad Racer and remove some of the noise channels so you couldnt hear the car. I had to play, to keep time from running out, LOL.

On Rescue, I have a few bullet noises, because you have to play that one too. If you hide, the music gets lower, so I had to stay seen, hiding from the damn spotlights. LOL.

Well the way I do it is pretty complicated, but it gives GREAT control over how the music sounds when ripped. I’ve done a ton of midi/game rips with added bass, or highs, and they rock ass.

Realtek AVRack+ AVRack equalizer + AC97 equalizer + AC97 record volume + generic auxiliary equalizer + playing in MWP with equalizer plug-in+ WPM bass boost and WOW plug-in.

All sound program run/effect my computers sound concurrently. So what I do is open up all sound programs. Adjust all rec/EQ levels to what I feel like. Then I record the “stereo mix” with Rtlrack(AVRack), and record the media player or video game into a wave. If all sound come out good, I take the .wav and use ImTOO PSP video converter to make MP3 version.

Here is that one: (I dont have a ysi account). You might be able to get files from here by going into temporary internet file, and grabbing it there. They are MP3’s.

Here is Genesis Double dragon 2 rip I did with a shit ton of bass. Stage 5. You will need to make sure everything is turned to minimum before starting this.

This is a MIDI rip I did, a very nice version of the Double Dragon 2 forest (st 5)

Normal rip:

Bass rip (not crazy like that Genesis one):

I have another sleeper one. Wolverine from the NES. Put some bass in this one. And listen till the end! This is very good track.

More Later. Let me know what you think. :wgrin:

EDIT: I saw something. You can d/l the song from there, but you have to click on a link like 20 times, or something stupid.

Oh that is simply dope!! licks lips Delicious! Much thanks, man! I only played the game once and it was the NES version. Does the whole game have music that’s this good? I just may have to DL the MIDIS!!

Please continue with these wonderful recommendations.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!! Geekasim :hitit:

Guilty Gear to this date, have some of the best music in the gaming world. That and rival schools…as well as The Kof Games…

Look up SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI NOCTURNE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK on Galbadia Hotel. That shit is total hot fire.

Truth. Although I was a bit disappointed with May’s theme in GGX2. Think its called Blue Water, Clear Sky. I thought it was just fine in the original and they added too much bass or something to it. Not sure what.

Rival Schools. Completely forgot about that one. Didn’t that game have a sequel called Project Justice? Game is super rare. If you played it, how was the music in that game?

I think I’ve heard of that game before but I’ve never heard the music. I think its a Shadowhaxor’s site so I’ll check it out.

And someone please, please tell me someone out there has made some sick remixes/arranged themes for these stages: Charge Man, Napalm Man, Gravity Man, Crystal Man.

Reggie. I’magonna hook you right on up. I have remixes for Crystal Man. I’ll have to do some work on the others.

Also, for the Project Justice ST, check it out! There are a lot of good tracks. One of my particular favs is the Ziggy Amusement Park Stage and the Gorin Dome Stage. Don’t forget Embankment on the Yamato River

I’ve got some recommendations for anyone that’s interested.

MIDIs

*Gokujyo Parodius http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/108 A game that parodies the Gradius series and has some excellent, catchy, quirky tunes.
*Illusion of Gaia http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/5/117 Has there been a game from Enix that’s had bad music?
*Mother http://gh.ffshrine.org/midis/3/224 The first Mother game has some excellent MIDIs.

OSTs

*Axelay http://www.shadowhaxor.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=78 Very nice SHMUP music from a SNES Konami game.
*Final Fight Sega CD http://www.shadowhaxor.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=724 AWESOME arranged versions of the original Final Fight arcade game.
*Rockman Battle & Chase http://www.shadowhaxor.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=824 Over The Top owns!!
*Sonic R http://www.shadowhaxor.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=573 Trust me, guys, this one ROCKS!!! Whoever does the vocals for this can really sing.
*Border Down http://www.shadowhaxor.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=104 Good music from a Dreamcast SHMUP that never made it to the states.

Thanks! I’ve been trying to get that Final Fight Sega CD for a while! I tried to d/l it from another site, but the Winzip kept coming up incomplete…you saved me a lot of trouble.

Axelay is another one of my favorite STs…“Colony” is my shit!

Thanks for all the recommendations…I’m downloading riiiiight now.:wgrin:

No prob, man. My first encounter with Axelay music was on Gamingfm some years ago. I was listening to the retro gaming station and I’d heard some Axelay music. I was hooked. Even looked up the game and one day found a copy for $6.99. Good shooter, but I suck at it. Music is ill, but you already know that.

I’ve never played Final Fight on Sega CD but the music is freaking superb. Beautiful stuff. Some of the best arranged music I’ve ever heard, right up there with the F-Zero Arragned soundtrack.

does anyone know were i can find music for that game Descent???

I wanted to find some music from that game myself. Descent 2 also has sweet music. Anyway, here’s music from the first Descent. http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/579

Here’s Descent 2. http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/580

ya thanks that game had some of the best music ever. I never played Descent 2 or 3 though.

You guys need to try that Ridge Racer 7 Soundtrack. Talk about some hawt sex!

EDIT: POST FIXED!!

I’m going to recommend some MMX stuff:

MMX5:
http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/1431

Tracks: Tidal Makoeen (Bubble Crab Remix), Dark Necrobat, Volt Kraken

MMX6:

Tracks: Blaze Phoenix/Heatnix

As said before, there’s a lot of good music in X6, but Heatnix is my fav. Commander Yammark stage comes in 2nd.

Here’s a little Megaman Trivia/fun. Listen to these tracks. Notice anything similar?

Shining Tigerd (Neon Tiger) Similarities start about 00:20 seconds in.

Guns N Roses (My Michelle) Similarites start about 00:23 seconds in.

SPEAK OF THE DEVIL! Get outta here That was ME that used to play that Axelay music all the time years before you started these threads!! I played the hell out of colony, and I think I was the only person that requested that track. I remember I used to play that station at work.

Whoever was requesting all those 9 minute Final Fantasy tracks was driving me NUTS. One-Winged Angel PFFT.

Holy hell, I can’t believe it took me this long to make that connection.

If anyone could hook me up with Konami’s 6player arcade XMen mp3s or Konami’s arcade Simpsons mp3s, I’d really appreciate it. Been to GH, KHI, and other sites; no one has them as far as I’ve seen.
