-Violent Breathing (Renegade Mix) from SOR1

This shit sounds too fire and I had to share. He has a bunch of other remixes but I haven’t heard a 1 cause I’ve been beating this for 2 straight hours.

That was a nice track. Violent Breathing was hands down, my favorite song in SoR and that’s speaking volumes because the whole OST was dope. This reminds me, I need to DL the SoR 3 OST.

I recently went…and someone wanted my impressions on the show that they brought here which is on the page before this. It’s uh…hard to miss.

Long story short…IT’S FUCKIN AWESOME…GO TO IT!

2 goodies from OC I think should be checked out that got put up recently

Final Fantasy VI 'City Corner Lullaby’

Source is ā€˜Kids Run Through the City Corner’. This is basically a piano mix of the theme. Very soft.

Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening 'Mountain of Dreams’

Source is ā€˜Tal Tal Mountain Range’ or ā€˜Tal Tal Heights’. If you don’t like a lot of synth in your stuff you probably should steer clear of this mix. I found that I liked what he did with the track myself.

Did a search and didn’t see any posts about this:

http://www.zreomusic.com/

Its a FANTASTIC site that takes every Zelda theme and reorchestrates them. Should be more sites like it. Great layout, easy downloads, and many many orchestrated themes.

Damn its been a while since I played me some Zelda… :shake:

TRUTH!!! And while everybody was talking about where they found their love for VGM, I think the original by Koshiro and Go Straight as well is what did it for me. And it wasn’t till I got older I started to appreciate VGM a lot more but this shit and some of the Sonic 1 music is what opened those doors.

yup just saw it
ok wicked, it sounds awesome

gf bought the tickets and it was actually her idea, so this means she lives… for now

This is awesome.

Now all I need to do is stop being lazy and look around for MM9 Soundtrack.

Actually, I know a guy who has it, I’ll get it off him when next I see him.

I’m liking what I hear with this site. It doesn’t change much, but it’st still nice.

On the topic of Zelda, here’s a Stone tower mix that I’ve only heard on Youtube. yeah, I know it’s youtube, but I’ve been unable to find it anywhere else.

I personally prefer VGM remixes that stay true to the original source. I am probably a minority on this. I’ve heard some remixes that sound so radically different from the games they are based on and most I don’t really like. There are some exceptions though. Like this:

(love the piano part)

I know what you mean! I was just talking about that with someone. If you’ve ever heard the ā€œHard Man 2step remixā€, but it’s the perfect example of a good simple remix.

I’m the same. I didn’t like quite a few songs on OC Remix’s Blood on the Asphalt SSF2T album because they basically changed the entire tone of certain songs - Guile and Ryu’s Theme chief among them, which should really be two of the best.

Also, on the subject of video game music, I’ve been listening to a lot lately. The BF themes have always been good, but that’s easily my favourite. I also picked up The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, which comes with two audio CDs - one the game’s score, and one music inspired by the game - and so far I’m liking the score a lot. The Witcher Theme is a very relaxing piece of music.

I like hearing music both ways actually. If it’s just a new arrangement of the song that’s cool I know I’ll enjoy it but I love when someone takes a song and reinterprets the track where you can hear the source but it’s not completely smacking you in the face all the time and the artist actually plays around with it a bit. Case in point…I’m JUST now trying to play Shadow of the Collosus. Yes I’m definitely late on this train but listening to the music makes me a appreciate both the source and what Sixto and the others did with this ReMix.

Shadow of the Colossus 'Wanderer on the Offensive (Live Edit)'

2 different songs meshed to gether with the source coming to the front as well as adding in their own flavor as well instead of completely regurgitating what was already done.
