WTF Con!?!? Stop dodging me!!!
I agree with everything you say, It was Street Fighter 2 World Warrior on SNES that got me into gaming music.
By the way did you know Foobar can act as a mass tagging utility?
First, load up a bunch of mp3’s, Highlight them, Right click and go to Properties. Just Edit the values inside the boxes, It’s really fast too.
Not much else to contribute until I get my own internet back (soon)
Johnny, this isn’t that type of thread. Please respect the others in here and keep these types of posts to the MvC thread or either PM. We’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

Same here. I remember all types of music before SFII, but that was the game that started me out into the world of gaming music.
I can’t remember the games that really got me to listen to gaming music more and more. I do know that it was somewhere between the end of the Snes/Gen and beginning of the PS/Saturn Era. I only dabbled in really taking to some of the tracks and making an effort to search for them. One such in particular is admitedly the first Orchestrated version of One Winged Angel. That was the first time I heard game music in such a way. Now that I’m talking about it I DO remember. Fuckin Sonic Adventure did me in. That game pulled me all the way in lol.
King of Fighters 94’s was a HUGE influence for me music-wise.
true, imo Sonic Adventure has the second best soundtrack of all the Sonic games. what is the best? Sonic R.
YOU’RE LIKE A DIAMOND IN THE SKYYYYYYYYYYYOHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAHHH!!!
Lufia 2 got me into VG tunes. Awesome soundtrack.
Super Mario Bros. is what caught my ear in VGM. But really, I can remember loving VGM from various titles as a kid. Sonic the Hedgehog. SFII: The World Warrior on SNES, Chip & Dale’s Rescue Rangers, and many others. Speaking of SFII, anyone know where I can find a good rip for Super Street Fighter II on the Genesis? All the ones I’ve seen have been sub par.
Double Dragon (Neo Geo CD)

There are some errors in a few tracks but man, this music is AWESOME! This was more of a straight up fighting game than a beat 'em up. It was released in 1995 for said system.
I gotta see about using Foobar again. Either it hates me, my computer hates me, or both. I downloaded it and tried using the program but it just wouldn’t go for me.
My new best friend!
For me it was… I dunno, I’ve always just noticed Game’s Soundtracks.
Being a huge DKC2 fan that comes to mind of course. Krook’s March, Mining Melancholy, Stickerbush Symphony. I love a lot of Rare’s music. Banjo Kazooie also had an amazing soundtrack, if you take the time to listen to it.
One game I’ve been loving the sound of right now is Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
For anyone looking for ANY FE music, http://serenesforest.net/music/ is pretty much a complete listing.
But anyway, the music in Radiant Dawn, I find, is rather amazingly done. If you like ‘orchestal’ stuff, check it out.
Dude, THANK YOU! I’ve been looking for Famicom versions o of the FE music! These are even tagged! :lovin:
