OCR doing remixes of OCReMixers songs have been happening more and more as people from that community land jobs in the gaming industry.
Yeah, I know, it was just odd seeing it on an actual OCR album. And outside of OCR, thereâs remixes on songs that people who are/were from there did. I mean hell, I swear thereâs a crazy amount of remixes on stuff the Aversaâs (zircon + pixietricks) did.

I actually got to see him live.
One of the best nights of my life.
Yo! You were at Magfest this year? I posted about my first time experience in this thread a few posts up.
Yeah, but I spent most of the time in the game room shamefully. I did see Powerglove live and did the Russian Dance when they played Tetris.
I wanted that colossus hoodie so badlyâŚ
god damn manâŚPowerglove did a number on my ears but they were fucking amazing. When I wasnât in concerts or panels I was in the game room mostly playing AE. Was this your first time?
It was, and it was AMAZING. Good lord Saturday night was like⌠As soon as I heard Streets of Rage, I went on the floor, found this girl, and danced with her till he went offstage. Frickinâ magical. If I go next year Iâma try to do more musical things. Also I got a CD by Blind (or however you caps/lowercase his name, canât remember right now) and heâs one of my favorite remixers, so that was nice. On;y thing Iâm pissed at was missing my chance to get some Powerglove swag.
Geez, Iâm rambling. I should do a write-up.
Dude yesâŚdo a write up for the people who havenât been. When I was at DJ Cutmanâs booth to get some of his CDâs I saw bLiNdâs stuff there too and I talked a bit about how I liked some of his stuff to Cutman and the dude was chillin right to my left. He fist bumped me lol.
Guys Magfest is fucking awesome and again my only regret was that I came completely unprepared financially for the event. Iâve been having serious withdrawals about that weekendâŚWOOOOOOAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH!!!
Didnât bother reading the thread but Iâm sure nobody posted this and for that you should all be ashamed

Iâll try to get on it tomorrow, right now I am wiped.
And since this is a music threadâŚ

Always felt like Twilight Princessâs music was under-appreciated compared to the other Zelda games. Maybe thatâs just me though.
If I remember correctly the Triforce quartet at magfest actually played some of Twilight Princess in their Zelda set

Iâm sure we can all agree that Capcom and Konami came the hardest when it comes to NES music. But I want you all to take a listen to this. I donât think the any other musician pushed the NESâs chip generated music harder than Tim Follin. Iâm sure this wonât be everyoneâs cup of tea, but I want you to sit, close your eyeâs and really listen to the complexity of what this guy was able to create.

While I really enjoy the newer music that is out now, I still enjoy rocking 8 and 16 bit tunes the most.
Thatâs awesome.
Tim Follins is one of my favorite composers actually.
Have you heard his Spider-man and the X-men in Arcades Revenge work?
Hellz yeah I have. Iâd have to say that Gambitâs stage is by far my favorite.
Thatâs my second favorite one, my first being Spidermanâs stage.
Absolutely love that nod to the old Spiderman show he snuck in there.
SRK ate my link, Hereâs Yoshiâs Island (70ish MB)
Iâve been running into OSV of old rpgs and just running them through the background as I read the net; currently, Iâm on Chrono Trigger.
personally I like the Orchestral version of some old (pre-PS1) games, :shake: alas Iâve only found a handful.
I actually didnât have Yoshiâs Island in my Mario folder. Iâll have to shift through it and decide what to put on my storeâs playlist.
Sonic & Knuckles âAirborneâ by Devastus
Source is âFlying Battery Zone Act 1â. I find it interesting that nobody on OC has touched Act 2 of this source. I know theyâre similar in plenty of ways but they have a nice amount of differences in terms of soundâŚcould just pull a Housethegrate. Anyway, this is another nice rocking ReMix of this tune. Source is easily familiar and I like the way how the track started out. I definitely dig the small swtich up at 2:18 as well. Itâs probably going to awhile before something tops Snapplemanâs version of this theme for me thoughâŚI think it could be the bass line in combination with everything.
