Damn, spent all day playing Strive beta when I wasnāt cooking or cleaning. Played so much an old rotator cuff injury started acting up.
Ran into a possible bug with the Quick Start network option. Every so often I would get booted from my training lobby into the stupid pixel lobby.
Matchmaking will need a lot of refinement. While itās not a clear indication of skill, I was not ready to be thrown into the 6th floor of the tower on Day One just because I didnāt get bodied by the CPU. I would see folks in a similar boat, and felt bad if they squared up. Not an indication of skill every time, but for some folks level 1 is level 1, not a bad read.
Online play is generally decent, but Iāve had several matches where the connection quality wasnāt so hot an inputs were dropped. Which is frustrating, but also why I prefer slumming in the training mode to ensure my execution didnāt take a dive.
Damned game is so gorgeous. I find myself reading all of the signage and scripture on details. Infinite Latte at the coffee shop! I didnāt notice if the sign there changes, but it wouldnāt surprise me.
Ryu finally got some real buffs. I swear if Daigo switches and wins with Ryu this yearā¦
Okay, this bullshit ass Strive lobby also needs to include an option to instant bail out on unwanted requests.
Walk up to a dude and try to challenge. They bail on combat, and I end up picking view R Code. Which goes about as quickly as loading stupid ass trophies lists on PSN. A fix to this would be requiring a button hold to activate anything that isnāt FIGHTING ANOTHER PLAYER.
This is wasting my time as a player. Let me cancel that shit.
Okay, Iāve noticed that if a player changes their state from battle to not ready you get stuck in a connection trap. It is faster to bail on the stupid lobby than to wait for the software to recognize the change in player state.
Iād also like to old man yell at the clouds here and wish modern games would be more like games of old and display the player ping time in their R-Card/Code balloon over their head. Iāve been complaining about that for a decade now though. . . so yeah.

It looks goofy and the person compared it to windchimes. Iām guessing it was a mod?
Kenzan was the first full 3D Yakuza and looks it, I wouldnāt mind just a remaster for this but Iām guessing thatās not true for most everyone else. Still a good time overall seeing as the main series is going to be turn-based until Ichibanās arc is done.
I donāt see how Ishin needs a remake since it still looks awesome (runs on the Y5 engine 
) and itād be quicker to release without doing a remake, but hey 
Not even a day out and they already found an Infinite for Dan. Damn shame.
