Video Game General v8.01D : PC Gaming Golden Age, Big Box (Part 2)

I am a bit concerned that there is a bug-eyed banana man about to teabag an aristocrat in a burger helmet while a psychotic care bear fan is about to be George Kirbyd and all you can see is Ryu.

Well…this is my attempt at making a gameplay vid.

Took me hours to upload and fix as the game crashed toward the end.

I’m playing Persona 5 Strikers without having played Persona 5.

If everything goes as plan I should get my PS5 tomorrow

and before you asked, the secret of getting a PS5 without paying scalper prices is being there at that right time when the stock has stock, they are usually sold out minuets later.

So you ether has to be lucky, be quick, or have a friend on the inside giving you a tip off.

Not that it matters to me since I blew my ps5 money on that sweet sweet MvC2 naomi bundle but goddamn it must be nice to know you have a chance of walking into a retail shop and possibly scoring a ps5. There’s a 70 mile radius around me of various chains with signs saying these in demand items aren’t sold in stores only online.

I dont really give a shit. I make them so they’re unlisted after the stream and hell…Im not even there most of the time. The game is just idle with music going. Im not big on my stream or streaming. I just do it cause I can.

My main is officially in the game. April can’t come fast enough.

I-no looks awesome. This is hitting Steam and the netcode impressions have been positive. :+1:

Glad Chizuru is back in KOF, unfortunately will not buy. Love KOF but team games aren’t my thing I came to realize.

Thats where I nabbed mine, I happen to log in to the right store at the right time.
Right after my transaction, the store was sold out.

GameStop and Best Buy might not have it on retail shelves, but I am sure not everyone operates the same way.

I just happen to be lucky. Only unit I can nab too is the Miles Morales Bundle, it comes with a game and an extra controller.

There twitter accounts you can follow to get notifications who are in stock, and hope there no delay from the notification hitting your phone and then getting there fast enough.

That’s not a bad bundle. I had to get mine piecemeal. PS5 from Amazon, extra controller, charging dock, and games from BB.

Is yours the version of Miles that includes the first Spider-Man game?

I wasn’t sure so I had to bring back up the invoice

It’s the Ultimate Launch edition, so Yes.

So I might give away my copy of Spider-Man to who ever gets my PS4.
I going to see if any my local friends want it first. I giving first crack to a buddy who’s birthday is coming up who I know don’t own a PS4.

I do have a controller charger ordered from Amazon and some game pad decals from decal girl.

Nowadays I think it’s easier to nab a PS5 than a milk jug nowadays here in Texas

Hell yeah. I gave my PS4 Pro with my copy of PS Spider-Man to my little brother after I got the Ultimate Edition of Miles. Figured it was redundant at that point.

Do PS5 controllers still have a port for headphones like the ps4 ones?

Man, I love this xb1 controller my lady got me. It feels way better than the controllers Ive been using for the past decade. Next controller I try out will be a PS5 controller but I’m not in a rush.

Maybe a little unorthodox, but Dollar Tree carries a good shelf stable boxed milk. I use it for cooking and baking. So far, so good. The pandemic made me research more durable pantry options.

Strive Beta is very Mike Tyson, “Everybody’s got a plan until they get punched.” Kind of fun resetting these combo monsters with a nice five across the eyes and watching their game plan fall to pieces when applicable.

Network > Quick Start eliminates the need to meddle with the lobby system. Another gripe I have with the lobby is the lag in lobby avatars. They really need to optimize the game so it’s more efficient and there’s not stupid lag and character animation in a danged lobby.

Plus Network > Quick Start allows me to figure out what the heck I ought to be doing in training mode.

Here’s Why PS5 Joysticks Drift (and Why They’ll Only Get Worse) - YouTube

Aw jeez. The first comment on the video explains why they did what the did for the demonstration.

Saw a comment at another forum regarding this.

They did have this problem. Anyone who’s popped open controllers since Dual Analogs become the norm would see that all of these sticks are the same, and I doubt they’ve changed much since the PS2 era to now – I’ve been doing controller button and shell replacements since the start of the PS360 gen – and they’re all the same part.

We’re likely hearing about it more now because of social media and the fact that there’s more games functioning as grindy timesinks, so people being drawn to those grindy timesinks are spending more time putting normal wear and tear on the sticks, and also putting frustration abuse on the sticks.

Even more so.

the Dual Shock 4 controllers just happen to have a headphones port that works with the PS4.
The Dual Sense for the PS5, it will also register as a external sound card in windows when plugged into a PC.

The Dual Sense would be perfect for PC play if it didn’t lack Xinput compatibility.
But then again I can see Sony refusing to play extra to MS for compatibility with a MS API.
