I just called Best Buy. I’ll get a $10 credit back to my account since it was damaged.
I never thought to do that. EBgames probably would have told me to fuck off though, but I’d have given it a shot a few weeks ago just to see.
I did try to price match something at Wal-Mart recently after I bought it with Amazon, but they told me they don’t price match them. Rekt.
I remember when I saw signs that the were stopping the price match a while ago. They know what’s up
I was thinking about Toki the other day, I originally played it in a Pizza place way back. It’s pretty cool that it got a remake(and a physical copy! Though it looks to be only in EU.) it looks awesome imo, kind of similar to Wonderboy.
It’s on all ze platforms including the Switch.
Oh this Nier talk came at a perfect time. Playing SINoAlice with the Nier collab atm. It’s automata right now and then replicant right after. Everyone blowing their load(their in-game currency) getting the automata chars and I’m over here waiting for replicant chars. Granted, I did get lucky and got myself a 2B as well. You get a free 2B, and then the gacha version is her without the skirt.
Anyways, I think Automata is good, but it’s def one of the more overrated games. I’d even say that if 2B wasn’t the main char, game might not have blown up so big. Having only played 2 platinum games, Automata and Astral Chain, I can say the combat felt similar and it wasn’t anything amazing. It was just whatever to me. I enjoyed the shmup parts more lol.
I get that it’s a Yoko Taro game, but fuck having to replay the game so many times when you could literally just merge a few routes together and just expand on a single playthrough. I prefer actual branching routes or games with normal and true endings.
OG Nier was also great. If only it had an actual budget or whatever it is they lacked. I can’t wait for the remake and hope it gets the recognition it deserves.
I have Nier 1. I thought it was pretty awful.
Series is hit or miss for people in general.
VGM Friday submission
I didn’t mind the three playthroughs personally. The second one was through 9S’s eyes and his sections had more shmups sections. The third was cool and had some of my favorite bosses. D and E endings were just check points.
Astral Chain and Nier “playing similar” is an…interesting take.
Haven’t played Automata but based on video I would say they play the same superficially but the Legions really change how you play Astral Chain, from any other action game I’ve ever played anyway.
Maaayyybe from a quick glance, but the weapon switching, dodging, even taking enemies to the air are massively different and that’s just before you get to the basic controls of the game.
You should peep Automata at some point. It’s a good time.
It’s on my list of shit to pick up and check out for sure, I’m one of those Platinum fans Sonicabid seems to hate so much so it was a buy for me eventually at some point anyway. Just waiting till I see it for the right price.
Excellent choice with Gentle Madman. I must have looped that track for hours straight when I got to that part.
About 20 years late, but I just finished the original Ratchet and Clank (the ps3 HD remake).
That final boss battle against Drek is something else. Who thought it was a good idea to make you redo all the (poorly implemented) platforming after dying to the boss? Made me rage quit after the first 20 or so deaths.
Then I went and got the Ryno and it worked the first try (with 3 platforming deaths).
Seriously who thought those platforms were a good idea?
Sucker Punch wants players to “tear Ghost of Tsushima apart” so players can give as much feedback as they can so Sucker Punch can figure out how to improve the game
Is GOTsu worth purchasing if you’re only a little interested in it? Like, just barely enough to ask this question? It’s getting rave reviews, but the little gameplay of it I’ve seen doesn’t seem that great (still good though).
No one can answer that for you, and I especially can’t since you don’t even like TLOU2, which means our opinions aren’t in line. I can say that Ghost of Tsushima is fantastic and I’m not a big open world gamer.
The horse in ghost is better than roach. Hated the horse in the Witcher.
That, and sometimes when you want them to do stuff they don’t, and other times when you wish you could disable them, you can’t. I had a hell of a time playing SFxT because I kept hitting the “buttons” on the back. Definitely a terrible idea no matter how it’s implemented, like playing on a touch screen, except you can’t see where your fingers are.
