That game got hard as shit later on. I think I ended up never finishing it.

Played it a retro barcade last year. That game doesn’t fuck around.

Dragons Trap is a fantastic game that was way ahead of it’s time and proves old games hold up perfectly fine with modern games.

Yeah the problem where I was at is that it’s saved in a part where I don’t have much health and there aren’t save points close by. I remember playing for like 15 minutes and being like WTF WHERE IS MORE HEALTH OR A SAVE POINT??? Think it was a part with the mouse.

Just curious if anyone in here ever played Target Terror Gold back in the day in the arcades. It’s a light gun game.

I had never played it or even heard of it until a few months ago and I finally got my kit all setup and finally had some time to actually take 15 minutes and play it.

And it’s one of the best light gun games I have played. I just never even heard of it back then. It’s probably because I was pretty much done with arcades by the time it was out. But damn it’s good.

This game is dope as fuck. I had to get used to the slipperyness of it at first (sliding + short hitboxes), but had a blast. One of these days I’m going to do playthrough with just the Master System sound + graphics.

You should check out Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, since it’s in the same line of games, but is more recent (2018).

Fired up Sonic Mania yesterday and ran some time trials. I wish you could view other people’s replays in the ranking like the the Sega Ages Sonic ports.

I have the physical version of Plus and it’s the first time I started Encore Mode. I had no idea there were remixes of the stages already in SM, with new areas and paths. It’s been almost two years, lol.

The new characters are cool, but Sonic is still the one I use the most.

@SonicH do you have any players you watch when it comes to the 2d Sonic games? I was watching some speedruns and there is just a ton of ways to play, that I never thought of.

Indestructible is a jam. I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise.

I don’t have any particular names that I watch for 2D Sonic. It’s been while since I watched a speed run on the 2D sonic games if I’m honest. There was a few people that I watched play some of the 3D games when they showed up in my feed.

Like Paraxade

Or Kakipi

Don’t have any names I can think of for 2D runs.

Does anybody remember that there’s a version of Indestructible that has Flo Rida rapping in it? I discovered it randomly on my Ipod a few years ago when I downloaded the full Ultra IV OST and was confused as hell when I first heard it.

I know of that version. I pass it over as Flo Rida is trash. The song is better without him.

sheeeittttt, I still have “Indestructible” in my music collection…that’s been one of my game-music jams ever since seeing the trailer and hearing it the first time.

Earlier today on my usual mp3 random shuffle, the final boss theme of Bayonetta—“The Greatest Jubilee” came on… it took me right back to those great memories of experiencing that game for the first time. That is still one of the best final battle themes in the history of gaming, imo…especially that part around the middle where it changes = *banderas.gif… it’s too good.
yep now I had to dig that up and listen again…

Ear-delicious. The aforementioned change happens around that 3:05 point there… goddamn man words can’t even do it justice…especially as all the absolutely epic shit is going on in the battle as the operatic voices are on blast in the background…to use a cliched critic phrase it was a thrill ride that I didn’t want to end.

I don’t care at all about Far Cry, and this isn’t going to be enough to make me buy it.

Still I screamed “THANK YOU LORD!” when I saw this. Weird.

Word mang, thanks for the reply.

I still need to finish Killer 7. I’m hoping before the end of this month. In the meantime, I’ve been on a Sonic kick. After playing 1 and 2 for some goodtime, then firing Mania(Plus) man, I’m just NOW pretty bummed we aren’t getting another 2D entry from the Mania Crew.

Shinobi PS2: On the boss for Stage 7 (7B to be exact) game continues to be…SO GOOD.

Looking to get to the TG-16 mini sometime this fall. I see Shinobi and Sonic holding my attention HARD though, so we’ll see.

I also want one of those TG-16 Minis but they are too expensive i feel like. I can’t find an for less then 150. Not paying that.

Shinobi PS2 is bliss.

I thought I cancelled my pre-order on it, after getting rid of Prime, but I guess it never happened. I almost sent it back, because it’s been non-stop for the last few years on game releases.

I always wanted one as a kid. My cousin’s friend had one back in the day and I thought it was the coolest thing.

At least now I have the I have the 16-bit Trifecta I’d always wanted back then. Just in mini form.
