But I’m just looking for a side piece though
Apparently the reaction and feedback from the Crysis remaster leak yesterday was so bad that they’re delaying the game.
Oh damn that bad huh?
With how old Crysis 1 is it should probably look gangbusters by now on modern hardware.
I hear people still use it as a bench test tho so I dunno.
The original Crisis is on a heavily single threaded version of the Cry Engine. CPUs have become increasingly multithreaded. It’s party of the reason AMD has been handing Intel their ass for the past 3 years. So because of the way the engine is coded, it can still hit a modern CPU hard. That said, the remastered version is supposed to be on the modern version of the engine, so it should be able to take advantage of multithreading.
Still annoyed that they reprofiled the final chicane in Trial Mountain. It went from a slightly downhill version of Eau Rouge/Radillion that you could take flat out, to a slower, reversed version of Monza’s turn 1 and 2 chicane. But I guess it would be easier to cut that old design, while the new one creates a better overtaking point at the end of a lap.
The original Crysis code is highly unoptimized for modern systems. Back then, everyone thought higher clockspeeds were key so the engine is clearly designed around that, and can’t really multithread.
Tencent multiplying…
Crisis out here using like…2 of the 16 cores on your beefy new processor because lol that was the top of the line shit back then…no way there will be more cores in the future.
I remember the GTAIV port on PC was like this too, it only uses like 2 or 4 cores max.
I also hope I get free or cheap upgrades on Steam because I own the OG release and Crysis Warhead.
There are people out there who say the game is just a tech show piece but the gunplay is actually good and the physics are fun to mess with.
I thought the Crysis series fun on the whole and the first was FarCry with super powers so that was dope to. I have the 360 version of Crysis which is lulz. Wouldn’t be against buying it again on the better hardware tho. Port Warhead, only one I haven’t played yet.
People need to stop giving Tencent shit, they’ve made some legitimately great games
Though I heard if you don’t get the high score you get sent off to a labor camp.
Tencent bought out dem games as a service title because they know that’s where the big money is. PoE, League, etc. etc.
They own 1/2 of Epic games too, which I’ve pointed out before. Every MTX sale in Fortnite=$$$ in their pockets. Every game that uses UE4=$$$ in their pockets(Tekken 7, SFV, recent GG titles, DBZ, FF7Retards, Ace Combat 7, like every other fucking game release.)
They outright own riot games so all the money League and Valorant make belongs to them.
Welp,
Tencent reports directly to the Chinese Gov. Fuck Tencent.
Another reason I avoid the Epic Store.
Tencent owns half, and I am sure the Chinese Gooberment is watching you game.
they get our money one way or another. Everything is produced there… including the viral beginnings of the end of the human race. (apparently there’s another one in the works now; it is only a matter of time before one of these really is a full on extinction-level event) …but we’re all supposed to be ok with that, of course.
Vampyr—I was reflecting once again on the great moments to be had in this game. That time about midway through when a certain major person in Dr. Reid’s life shows up out of nowhere was such a great jawdropper, man…fantastic shock value there, like a dramatic tv show or movie…and the conflict that pops off right then is really good stuff…one of those things that is so cool you want to tell people but obviously it’s a huge spoiler if they intend to play it eventually.
Another Memorable Moment of the current gen…
Gears 5-- several involving certain issues Kait is dealing with (*a connection to the Locust); some of the voice-acting and directing here was truly on another level, imo. Combine that with great music from Ramin Djawadi and it’s something special there. I was listening to Kait’s theme earlier today and it brought this all back to mind. When she’s suddenly controlling the Swarm, man… holy shit.
Has anyone here played the River City games that were released on the 3DS? If so how were they?
He likes ya and he wants ya
The only point of my post was to show their low-effort propaganda phone game. I don’t think anyone likes Tencent even in China. Especially in China, from what I hear.
Best way to spread the influence when your name is going bad, change the name.
But for real I shouldn’t hate, they own like nearly half the revenue games and movies industry due to their investments. I hate how they are under China’s thumb but props for how they got multiple studios, corporate giants and other entities under their own.
