Funny thing is, I used to hate on Kuja for the exact same reasons, but damn that guy is a great villain.
On the recent steam sale I picked up
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid collectorās edition
Battle Chasers
Iconoclasts
The Mummy: Demastered
Timespinners
I brought Tales of Berseria and Creed: Rise to Glory elsewhere.
And destroy you in the basketball mini-game. Then heād feed you pancakes after every game
Rick James > Prince
N if you wona fite aboot it Tekken 7 is 10 bucks on Steam.
My wife and I just started our run of TLoU2. Ran through TLoU1 first to give her a refresher and now weāre going right into it. Looking forward how this game plays out.
My friend was asking me if he should play TLOU1 before part 2.
Itās like a 100% yes answer lol. You will shortly find out.
Enjoy the ride. It was an amazing experience. Just be ready for a game that is more brutal/real than God of War. I say ārealā because it just feels so much more real and made me cringe a few times.
Any game series out there you guys used to hate on, but really like now?
I used to not be able to stand the Tomb Raider games, then the reboot came out and I was all about them.
If have to think on that for a bit.
Iāve just hated Mario Kart since SNES because itās too easy, but over the quarantine I decided to give Mario Kart 8D on Switch a try online with my friends and it grew on me very quickly and I realized that there is a lot of skill involved, although the items in it are still very annoying and ridiculous. I just donāt take it very serious online and understand that I will get karted often because that is just the game.
Hell yeah. Game is so good
So youāre being purposely ignorant. Okay.
The ones that immediately come to mind are Tomb Raider, any Musou series. Yakuza series. Shantae series. Mega Man Zero.
Street Fighter 2. Used to hate it, and fighting games in general. Played Alpha, then XvsSF, been hooked since
One incredibly strange hot take some youtubers are trying to run with is that they think the sales will somehow be bad for tlou2ā¦ hell nah, man. No way that shit is NOT selling bigā¦ in fact weāve already heard some numbers on it (multiple millions of copies if I recall). Iām guessing theyāll eventually just stop talking about it, and get back to roasting the Star Wars franchise again.
I will admit I am slightly disappointed that it wasnāt quite the flaming disaster I was expecting though, in terms of fan reaction. Obviously at first I was thinking this would be like an Anthem or Fallout 76-level wreckageā¦some fans are indeed highly upset with certain story things in there but at least it isnāt shaping up to be a Bethesda-caliber disaster
well, Iām already looking forward to whatever is the next big potential flaming wreckage to watch as it happensā probably 1 or both of those new Diablo games coming up, Iāll betā¦theyāll still sell like hotcakes of courseā¦but it will be fun to watch what happens with that.
You arenāt going to Day Juan Diablo IV?
At this point I think the ācontroversyā over The Last of the Mohicans 2 helped sales in the end. Maybe Sony āleakedā everything on purpose.
Iām hoping we have a remake of VI by then
Thereās a slight difference, Sephiroth and later antagonists are all working towards their own goals and are antagonists simply because the heroes oppose them. Kefka isnāt bound by that, heās a villain because destruction is his only goal. Heās extreme nihilism given form.
Also, you canāt really give the Joker a break because his character is the diametric opposite of Batman. Both are extreme reactions to having one bad day (as explored in the Killing Joke). Yes, some of the other characters have bits of that, but none express being Batmanās opposite more than the Joker.
No, if I have to hunt down an art book to find the full shorty to the game after the fact, then its not apart of my game playing experience. The Story as far I am concern is contain those 4 Discs the game ships with.
Itās not willful ignorance to expect a sell contain game to have all of the story pertinent to that game.
Final Fantasy with a few exceptions has no sequels, each numbered name is itās own world. So there nothing that established that I need a external sources to fill in the story gaps. Except FF 15, but that thing a mess. I get Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus expands on FF7, and X-2 supposedly ties up loose ends from FF 10. But trying to tell me I need an art book to find out about the final boss in FF9?
Yeah I rather ignore the book and take the game at face value at that point.
itās admittedly tough to resist temptation thereā¦ visually D4 looks great so far, annnnd they got the Druid(!); a character-class Iāve definitely been interested inā¦ but the whole online-only thing continues to irk the hell out of me. It is the most disgusting thing about the modern era of gaming, imoā¦ stuff that doesnāt need to be online-only still is ā¦simply because an increasing # of companies want it that way now for some fairly obvious reasons (reasons that have little to do with customer satisfaction or the issue of cheating, imo) I just hate to continue supporting the death of ownership in this industryā¦that gradual push of everything towards being a āserviceā instead of a product. It points to quite a depressing future of gaming.
(haha, how long until they make a Madden or FIFA game thatās also āonline-onlyā? There will be a release of Pac-man C.E. thatās online-only too one dayā¦just watch. Itās incredibly strange that Iām in the apparent minority that hates this nonsense. Most gamers donāt care.)
One positive I just found out though-- apparently the classes are NOT gender-locked. At first I thought that was the case since the mage character is specifically called āSorceressā, and thus we only ever see that particular female character (just like the druid is always that 1 guy in all the pictures) in all pictures and videos shown so far.
Online only does suck, or when servers go offline. I know this copy of Battleborn I bought for like 5 or 10 bucks sealed is a literal coaster now. I also remember when MAG went offline, it was everywhere for pennies because the game became a literal coaster.
If it makes you a feel a little bit better, Blizzard keeps their servers up eternally it seems. You can play Diablo 1 online still, and I just refreshed my Diablo II characters the other day. The games are 20+ years old and you can still play them online. I canāt even say the same about games that are > 10 years old like Driveclub. Modnation Racers and LBP werenāt up for that long before Sony axed the servers for those. Killzone 2 online I miss a lot thoughā¦what a game that was, both single-player and MP.
You have to select the chords with the analog stick and swipe on the touchpad to strum, itās extremly hard and Iām surprised people are able to make covers like this one
Nothing Else Matters covers are popular. Porn star Kitana Lure did a piano cover
