Phil LaMarr the legend…
I’m loving Nightshade. The dashes and wall shenanigans feel a little better. Hibana looks awesome, like, almost out of place better, as far as character models go. The graphics overall still could’ve been better, and I still would’ve liked tougher AI, even with the armor, just like the first game.
Game is a blast. Currently getting reckt on the Tokyo Freeway.

After reading so many negative posts about Saejima’s hunting sections, I ended up loving them. Haruka’s dance sections were a blast. I enjoyed getting into the battles around Sotenbori.
I didin’t like Akiyama in this one, but I’ll be revisiting before LAD drops. His air combos are cool and there’s utitlity, but I wasn’t feeling him as much as 4 in the initial playthrough.
This really jumped out at me. 4 was a step up from 3, but still had 3’s hangups. Y5 was serious on presentation.
I almost stood up and applauded this whole sequence. Instead I just took a break and let it soak in, haha!
Gonna have to disagree here. The missions were fun. The only con was the driving sections ended just as I got the hang of the multi-tasking, they ended. The Devil Killer side story was cool.
Shinada was weird in that being broke and hard to get money was close to him. It was the first time I thought of resource management. I liked his ‘bar-brawler’ style. I never unlocked more weapons with him though. I saw a cool one, during some a crazy battle.
On the last boss. I still liked fighting in the location, and how it looked, but the last boss themselves was…something. Overall I liked this a lot more than I thought I would, initially.

This is the same guy who did the God of War combos. Didn’t even know you could juggle people like that and he does some overkill stuff lol.
Warning: There are some spoilers in this. One slight one where he mentions a character but doesn’t really say what happens to said character and then at about 4:40 he starts showing some end game stuff including the very end fight of the game.
