El Shaddai was gorgeous but I felt it played like doo doo butter
I remember being a kid and seeing it in stores and wanting to play it cause the artwork was sick.
But were we a nintendo family
I was reluctantly team Sega until the original PlayStation came out. I actually had a Nintendo originally but my parents traded it for a Sega without even asking my sister or I if it was okay.
When the Saturn and PSOne were announced my parents asked me which one I wanted and I told them PlayStation.
Same thing when the Dreamcast and PS2 were announced
You chose…wisely
I say that as a Saturn and Dreamcast lover to.
Bujingai: The Forsaken City…
In hindsight Theres days I wish I had chosen DC over PS2 cause early teens was when I was starting to dip my toes into the FGC. Having a DC home I think would have helped me significantly. I didn’t even know there was a home port of MvC2, 3S or CvS2 until their PS2 ports happened. Real talk.
Before the PS2 ports The only times I got to play fighters and learn them was when I would go arcade hopping or to tournaments.
I hated my Playstation at first cuz my mom picked the worst games, or maybe it had a weak launch lineup, idk.
I legit got my money’s worth out of every console I’ve owned except the Saturn (which I still liked). My only regrets where the handheld systems
But even as a kid, I knew Virtual Boy was ass, the first system I told my mom NOT to get
I eventually got a Saturn but it was only for XvSF. Lol. We did 8-man round robins at our arcade a lot for it. So I’d practice at home.
The look on people’s faces when I busted out zangiefs infinite for the first time was as good as gold.
I had trash Saturn games, only good ones I owned were Nights, Virtua Cop and Sonic 3D Blast (oh and Revolution X lol)
Virtua Cop was so god damn good. So was Die Hard Arcade. Nights was visually stunning for its time and it’s OST is chill as fuck
One Saturn game I never got to beat was Astal. Played that shit at my cousins house and was blown away by how good it looked. It’s what made me get a Saturn but I could NEVER find a copy when I finally bought the console
Sonic3D Blast. Good game
I thought it was a solid title, sue me. Music was great, Sonic controlled fine and it was fairly challenging
THAT GAME IS AMAZING. I used to ride my bike to my local movie theater growing up just to play it. There’s a barcade here that has it, played through it recently. Holds up.
Underrated for sure
Watched the playthrough of the story mode, and it was amazing!!
I’ll agree with you on one thing and that’s 3D’s music is fucking baller.
I could literally hear SOMEBODY HELP ME . . . . . NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo…
I love BotW…but this made me laugh. Well played.
Winback: Covert Operations on the N64 and I think PS2 is very underrated for it’s time. It had the best cover system mechanics until Gears of War did it better and a dumb but fun action movie plot.
I Winback the game that seemed like a Metal Gear ripoff? I have not actually played it, I just used to see it in gaming magazines and it seemed similar
