So today I was watching some videos on Youtube as to why the Halo Infinite demo was so poorly reviewed about the underwhelming look of the game. Pretty much every video I watched everyone thought it looked like a 360 game and some even showed that Halo 5 actually looks better graphically.
And one guy brought up a very good point that I am 100% on board withā¦
Why the fuck is everyone so enamored by having fucking higher resolution? Like why is everyone so determined to play games in 4k right now?
People do not realize just how much power is needed for 4k right now. Itās literally pushing out 4x the pixels of 1080p and that requires so many resources.
This was brought up with Halo Infinite because that probably has a lot to do with why it does not look ānext genā at all. That and it has to have the base X1 as the common denomenator. But the point was brought up that if the game was running at 1080p or even 1440p, it could just look so much better and I am 100% in agreement with this.
I game on a 10 foot screen and sit 13ft from it. I can tell you 100% that games LOOK FUCKING FANTASTIC in 1080p on my screen. You should see how good TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima look on this thing. Hell my son has been playing a ton of Switch and those games look fantastic on it.
I donāt even plan on upgrading my projector to 4k any time in the near future AT ALL. Not even for movies because blurays look incredible on it.
4k is completely unnecessary right now and itās a shame that itās such a buzzword that the next gen consoles are so concerned about just because of the 4k TVs that are being sold now with hardly any actual real 4k content.
I would take better looking games with higher fidelity textures and graphics at 1080p with a better framerate 100/100 times over lower fidelity textures and graphics with a slower framerate and being 4k.

I donāt see it as highly doubtful. 2013 was massively different than where we at now. Physical media was still the dominant format for consoles then. In 2020 digital is reigning while physical is becoming increasingly more niche. Honestly if the original Xbone got announced during current year without the always online bullshit it will be positively received.

I still laugh at turkeys who say you dont own it if its digital. Fuck that shit. I own every game I have. I have about 500 digital games. No one can take them from me and I can play them on any computer I want. I can back them up however many times I want. They aint going anywhere. And I dont have to be connected to the internet to play any of them.

Again, I like her new costume but the fact that they added her SCIV costume which happens to be my favorite is a pretty cool move. Gotta get the season pass to support Project Soul, they always get the short end of the stick at Namco.

Most Japanese developers donāt know shit about rollback nor do they care. Look at that Round Table. The only developer in that whole thing to actively work with Rollbackā¦is ironically enough, fucking Capcom and it took them three tries to get something decent (MVCI also ironically enough). Weāll see ASWās attempt soon enough with Strive but otherwise aināt none of them have shown any interest in it.

Talking about Steam or GOG?
Halo is a system seller and a flagship game for the Xbox brand. If thereās going to be any game thatās going to show off what the Sex box can do it would be Halo. Seeing a series of that caliber being underwhelming on a technical level is highly disappointing.

I know thereās a ton of epilogue shit to do afterwords but I just beat DQXI.
Fuck. It feels so good. I think this is the first game Iāve played through to completion on my Switch since Kirby Star Allies was first released. Which I essentially 100%ed in one sitting. So I donāt really count it.
On top of that; this is the first time Iāve sunk over 100 hours into a game in all loooooong time. I want to do all the epilogue shit ASAP but I also kinda wanna jump head first into a new game.
Fuck it feels good to game again. Like god damn.

oh yeah, Iām ok with digital too, as long as itās disconnected from a āserviceā feeā¦ like several of my Switch games were bought straight off the eShop, and the great thing is that I donāt need a āserviceā like gamepass or Live, etc. ongoing to be āallowedā to play that shit.
A shame thereās so little time in life to play all this good stuff thoughā¦ like right this very moment Iām in the mood to play Vampyr again, but also Diablo 3 on Switch, or Carrion, Destroy All Humans, Dragonball FighterZ, Astral Chain and Gears 5ā¦and thatās just what comes to mind immediately when considering what to start up to kick off this weekendā¦
