Okay this thread has been hijacked by Xbone long enough, back on track…If at least some of the 15 M$ exclusives shown at E3 are on point will you guys forgive them? Or do good games not matter at this point?
Unless the used/borrowed game shit is resolved to an acceptable level, even the holy grail of games wouldn’t matter.
Good or bad, I can’t bring myself to support bad business practices not made in the interest of the consumer.
Yea the games kinda don’t matter to me at this point what with the always online (It’s always online, they can spin it however they want, I don’t care) the used games issue, the Kinect crap…yea can’t say the games can save this for me.

Right now I’m waiting for E3 but both Nintendo and Sony have games I’m interested in. Out of those 15 exclusives…how many of those are kinect games? How many are actually worth caring for? Also how many are actually timed exclusives that will be ported to PS4/PC/WiiU eventually? Then you have the concerns about their business practices…it’s not a question of forgiving at this point. There are too many variables and MS says everything game related will be revealed at E3. So I guess waiting until E3 will really cement my opinions on xb1.
If half-life 3 and mirrors edge 2 are announced Xbone exclusives, I might consider buying one, but the vast amount of bullshit will not be forgiven. Online DRM, Kinect required, and used games policy are unforgivable practices.
Again…There is no amount of Gears of War game that would make me budge on my stance towards this console. I don’t care if CliffyB and the others came back and made the best Gears game that is, was, or ever will be…the always online and anti second hand market is a complete and total deal breaker. I had an Xbox fanboy come into work today and pretty much rant about the stuff Microsoft was doing for over 30 minutes and talk about how betrayed and all this jazz he felt lol. It’s pretty bad when the fanboys can’t over look this stuff and are pretty much putting on their lifevests in preparation to abandon ship. I’m really curious if they are going to continue to follow through or just do a complete backtrack based on all the negative response.
When it comes down to Microsoft, all little Johnny or Timmy need to see is Halo, or Call of Duty, and the system is as good as sold. There are quite a bit of little Johnnys and Timmys out here…
Microsoft Blames Gaming Media for Xbone Consumer Rage
I said something similiar about this in the Xbone used game thread. All this information that’s been out there has been coming from Microsoft’s own employees and then Nelson comes out and says ‘oh this stuff isn’t really true and we’ll clear it up later’. Seriously though…you would think that most people in the company were debriefed on everything before the conference even began. It’s so easy to tell that they were completely gung ho on all this stuff and then weren’t expecting the pure rage afterwards for WHATEVER reason.
The thing is though that little Timmy doesn’t buy shit with his own money. He buys stuff with his parents money. If PS4 costs less than the Xbone its fucking game over. Especially if little Timmy’s friends have a PS4 because hell want want to keep up with his friends and his parents will agree with the lower price tag. Xbone won’t get so much as a second glance at the store
This is assuming little Timmy won’t use the casual features of the Xbone to sway his parents to get it for him as they can benefit from it as much as him. Not every parent knows dick about the shit their kids are into. He’ll have to share and won’t like it but he’ll still get what he wants in the end. If PSN remains free with PS4 then it will be game over.
Xbox One doesn’t want to be saved and I’m completely fine with that. If they wanna feed MERICA with TV TV TV then let MERICA eat, nothing wrong with that. I got my PC, PS2/3 and soon I’ll have my region free PS4/Vita so I can import all the good games that won’t make it to the states. The region lock BS on M$ consoles is a deal breaker for me and why I have been with SONY this gen and why I plan to stay with them for the next generation of gaming. Also you M$ niggas should have seen this coming. I mean for real, ask yourself, how many years has it been since the E3 M$ conference made you excited for the fall? The last time I gave a shit about M$ at E3 was when that nigga Hideo Kojima walked on staged.
I know we haven’t confirmed if the console will be region lock or not but I’m pretty sure it won’t be since the PSVita doesn’t have any region lock.
