If you have Prime, you’ll have it delivered by Release Day.
But if you have a Superstore like Walmart you should be fine, they have to stay open and they’ll keep pretty much every branch of it open outside of any dine-in areas.

Aw shiiet, Wally’s World. I haven’t bought a game from there in years.
That might change April 3rd, haha. Good looking out, that’s probably the way to go. 
I know you don’t care about the game but this is how I feel about FF7R. I want it physical like all my games but to have it day one might mean having to get it digitally…stupid ass virus.

I love the Og FF7 and have finished it a ton of times over the years. Gold chocobos, master materia I got all dat…but I don’t have any faith in Squeenix to deliver and the business model of the game is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen in gaming to date.
I’ve been disappointed by Squeenix too many times over the years and their games are just not for me anymore. It’s a realization I came to years ago. I loved them in the Snes and PS1 Era but I straight up didn’t like anything by them after FFX.

Part of me still wishes FF7R stayed traditional “turn based” like the original. But I do like Remake gameplay so far tho
However, I’m More excited about the changes in story and deeper look at the characters than the gameplay itself

That’s the main thing I hate. I mean, I get it. The original was already massive and took close to 100 hours if u did everything. All that plus graphical overhaul and additional content,
if Square had waited til the entire game was finished we wouldn’t get it til like 2030. I mean, I get the business model, still don’t like it tho
Astral Chain is so good. Have a few gripes overall but I’m sort of wondering if those would iron out if I was playing on a regular docked switch.

From what I seen, all the spoilers came from people data mining the PC demo.
I got an email from Best Buy yesterday saying they are starting to do curbside pickups only starting Monday.

Bruh the game came out 20 years ago. I think it’s past the spoiler threshold.
The game has new content and the old stuff got reworked. Just a small example, Carlos and his team never went to the RPD in the original game. In the demo we needed to get the train operational to get survivors out. In the old game you did that for your own survival. All intends and purposes, it’s a new game using the framework of the original RE3.

Walmart is still going to be open. You can do site-to-store pick up. That way you can spend minimal time in the store. The game will also likely be $10usd cheaper than anywhere else.
The above goes for target as well, minus the price difference. They often have pick up discounts on new releases as well if you use site-to-store. Target also price matches Walmart. I’m also 90ish% positive you can price match online too.
Starting iirc tomorrow (might actually be today?) Best Buy is doing curb side pick up for small items like blu rays, video games, vinyls, toys etc. Best Buy Price Matches with online orders as well.
GameStop is following Best Buy’s curbside delivery model but it’s due to them not having a choice in the matter. Government stepped in. 
Have you been charged for your copy yet? Amazon doesn’t charge your payment method until the item(s) have shipped. Could always cancel and pick up locally at the retailers I mentioned above.

Not necessarily right now. My copy of DOOM Eternal won’t get here until Tuesday, and I preordered it weeks ago with my Prime account. Covid is slowing down nonessential deliveries.
