LOL! I JUST FOUND OUT THROUGH A FRIEND THAT THE REASON GAMESTOP DECIDED TO CLOSE THEIR STORES TO THE PUBLIC IS BECAUSE GOVERNORS FROM VARIOUS STATES WERE FREEZING THEIR BUSINESS AND PAWN LICENSES FOR NOT COMPLYING TO COVID-19 PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES!

Yeah, I’m still figuring out audio levels, and I’m always having to jump between different mics. Sometimes I feel like the music is too loud, sometimes the voice, sometimes both, ect.
Still have a lot to learn, lol. It’s good you noticed it tho, the more constructive criticism the better.

I know Pennsylvania outright revoked their business license in the state.
You know why. We all know why. They especially know why. If they close, Gamestop will not open back up. The few stragglers that would prefer picking up games over there will be forced to switch to online ordering and will likely see the benefits.
Simply put, as I mentioned somewhat jokingly but will be the actual truth, COVID will be the end of Gamestop. The second they close the doors in all aspects, that’s it. As we’ve been seeing, and you’ve been reporting, they’re bleeding profits and profusely. The only reason why they’re fighting so tooth and nail to not only stay open but basically ignore COVID is because they financially can’t afford to. They likely were hoping to fade a couple of more years trying to find some trick or ploy in order to prop themselves back up but this pandemic will now hasten their demise.
The trends, the actions they’re taking are extremely parallel to other businesses that know they will be forced to go out of business if they close (of which there’s a fair few). So thanks COVID, for all the despair you’ve given us at least you’ve done something right and that’s being the catalyst to get rid of the cancer of Gamestop.

Funny thing is that Reggie won’t have had a chance to influence anything. Didn’t get a chance to attempt to put out any fires or plug any leaks before the ship sank. Would have atleast liked to have seen what a Reggie influenced GS could have been.

LOL yeah, it does that to you. I have to take a break every 1-2 hours, it’s the type of experience that makes me want to smoke a cig afterwards and I don’t even smoke cigs.
I’ve said it a ton of times but…people here that are into FPS games and haven’t bought Wolfenstein: The New Order/The Old Blood yet are doing themselves a disservice. The New Order was a cross-gen game and I beat that damn game on PC, PS3 and PS4. I platinum’d it on PS3 AND PS4 because of how goddamn amazing it is. The gunplay+animations+story+gore is just fantastic, SSS+++ all around. I liked the 2nd one a lot too, though that one was a bit more divisive among the community. They’re all some of my favorite games of the entire generation.
The double pack has insane value and both games come on two discs. I saw it for nothing a while back and wanted to grab it as variant to the regular releases but I didn’t, then when I went back it was GGPO.
New Blood or whatever it was called was fucking terrible though. Super disappointing game coming off of the last three.

The main complaint I heard about is that a lot of the mechanics seemed very shoe-horned in and came across as very counter productive to the over all goal of the game. As in some of the mechanics can actually stone wall progression in the game they’re so wonky and out of place

It’s a coop game in a series that almost exclusively focuses on a strong single player experience.
I played it as a single-player game. I clapped 99.9% of the game solo with a dogshit AI partner(which was annoying sometimes, because she basically didn’t do anything) but it wasn’t a problem until the last boss.
His 2nd or 3rd phase would guarantee a game over every time on anything above Easy difficulty, because my AI partner would get clapped every single attempt in the 2nd or 3rd phase. You have to revive them, and they have to revive you if you die, but the AI is retarded and on top of this you only had like 3 lives AKA 3 revives before you or your partner die.
I clapped 99% of the game on regular difficulty solo, but I had to turn down the difficulty to easy so the last boss wouldn’t buttfuck my AI partner instantly in the 2nd or 3rd phase every single time guaranteed to a point where she’d lose all her lives or I would.
I was salty because how did this pass testing? Then again this is the modern era where games are shit out early and us as the playerbase are the beta testers.
Then RAGE 2 came out shortly after and everything outside of the gunplay was fucking horrible and a huge step-down from the original. I loved RAGE 1 and every single Wolfenstein up until that one so that was disappointing on multiple levels. DOOM Eternal though=greatness, I want to see a Quake reboot in the vein of the original next. That has infinite potential in single-player and MP.

They might have patched it to make the AI better, I dunno. I had to employ cheese tactics pretty often since…in a two player game there was only one person doing any damage and that was me.
The AI partner would just refuse to revive you sometimes too. It’s funny looking back on it now, but also pretty sad because that game and the series deserved better.
Speaking of ETERNAL; apparently it was boring as fuck at first which caused a chain reaction of none one wanting to work on it.
Yeah, there’s not much benefit to getting stuff there as opposed to somewhere else. There’s Best Buy/Amazon for the physical games, and digital if you don’t want discs.
While I’m hoping they close soon (I don’t like them just on principle), realistically they may limp on until at least the end of the year.
Honestly I’m wondering if I can even walk into a retail store to buy REmake 3 on release.
I think I might have to order it on Amazon but…if I do that, it might take a while to arrive(?)
