I got an e-mail from Limited Run saying theyāre not suspending their operation but with their guys working from home shipments might take longer than usual.

Yeah, I like MK, but they REALLY need to nail the first movie first. Donāt make this one of those movies that suffers because it was meant to set up a āuniverseā. Just being a VG movie means it already has so much going against it.
It goes beyond that.
Look at how the story of MK9, X and 11 panned out.
9 is pretty wack, but then you have Sindel just pulling a drive-by on most of the cast, no questions asked, just kill them all.
X was weak enough for me to not really remember, but the Cages powers were kinda ridiculous.
11ā¦ I donāt even know where to begin. I do know where to not end tho. That last arc made absolutely no sense.
Kronika is played up as a force of nature, and Iām not just saying that because she absorbed Cetrion for a power boost, and then she jobs harder than Necalli.
Seriously?
Now letās consider why this cinematic universe will be a disaster.

Itās a videogame movie. How many times Hollywood got a VG movie right? Now remember how many times they got it wrong. The odds aināt good.

MKās latest trilogy was abysmal. You had three cinematic stories and every single one of them were deeply flawed and just kind of bad, really.
These guys essentially had 3 movies and told people a story that I can only describe as a freaking mess. Now imagine that in half-baked live action movies.
This cinematic universe will fail.

I loved the reboot trilogy. Also For whatever reason a lot of hardcore MK fans (not just players) absolutely love the lore of the series.
So ever since PS2 Eraās Konquest Mode until Now theyāve been eating that stuff up since it fleshes out so many characters and the world they grew up loving
Its my favorite part of the series. Itās no secret the only MK game I like is Shaolin Monks, otherwise its the art direction, cheesy Big Trouble in Little China vibe, and the lore that keeps me at all interested in the series. Watched MK11s story Mode like 3 times around when the game came out cuz it was so fun. Liu Lang whoops some ass in that last chapter.

Finished the first playthrough of Nier:
Summary
Love this game. Started to really get a feel for combat and how everything flows by the end. Did every single side quest I had available to me, did the first playthrough in 16ish hours. Only problem with combat was that I was waaaaaaaaay too OP. The last few boss fights feel like I missed transformations and stages of the fight (as well as story beats and dialouge) because they were over before they really started.
Eve fight was more or less 30 second combo, transformation cutscene, 30 sec combo, another cutscene, can do strikes anymore, zapped him to death in 30 secondsā¦ I feel like it was supposed to switch so that ranged attacks were disabled, but it ended before I got there.
The message from Square that you should play through the game again made me laugh. I knew going in that there were multiple playthroughs, but they make it pretty obvious with the amount of loose ends and characters left unexplored that there was more to this. Really excited to start scenerio B.
