<āhahah I never knew what that meant or what was going on but that old univision show always made me laugh
Playtesting? Sheeeitttttt, with the amount of stupid shit in so many games lately, I assumed āplaytestingā was a thing of the past, like they just donāt do it that much if at all anymoreā¦like there is a general āeh, weāll fix whatever pops up later in a patch..āā¦ imo, a lot of game developers of today are either generally lazy or just not quite as talented as their predecessors in the first place. Then again, to be fairā games have become much more complex as time went onā¦ making it that much more difficult to plan for every possible scenario that may play out (what happens if player does X? What happens if player does Y while holding X item? What happens if player goes over here before doing XYZ? etc.) at any given point in a game.
This coming friday, folks. DOOM ETERNAL. At least weāll get to play that before society fully breaks down. (wish I could say the same about my precious Bloodlines 2, but itās so far away )
Both options are viable but it all depends on the publishers and development. Hell we used to get ācompleteā editions which were everything DLC on a disc until recently when such are being saved seemingly for remasters or enhanced ports later on.
Each company has their own business model and culture that leads to their approach. Personally I loved SNK back in the day but they also flirted with ruin more than once the arcade fighting scene golden age ended. Capcom did as well but were diverse in their properties that when one cash cow ended they could jump to another.
Asian companies in general still do the new game instead of an update thing today, Atlus with their SMT and Persona games, Kingdom Hearts /multiple Square Enix games and MH World is basically the first MH game since they started doing the yearly update/enhanced editions where they didnāt go that route, which depending on your view is for better or worst as they are charging basically half or more of the game base price for DLC.
All that being said, and ignoring the Spanish portions since I donāt know the language well nor willing to Google translate it, arguing over this is for this long is useless unless you motherfucks are going into the development business together.
Mah dude, Monster Hunter was in the enhanced edition path from the very start. The original game had Monster Hunter G and Monster Hunter Freedoom. Second and Third games followed suit. The fourth game has 3 updates. These enhanced editions is why Monster Hunter games are classified as generations
