They were going to place the announcements around the E3 time frame (without actually being there) since gaming interest would be at a high. Not a hard concept to grasp.

i was expecting for them (sony at least) to make the announcement a year in advance then they would be keeping us updated through out the year with more information by the time E3 hit we would have had playable demos, the final design of the console and controller etc.

Sony was suppose to be at PAX before pulling out over Corona. It was first stop of the hype train.
They technically did that when they announce it’s existence. We have a name, release window and most of the specs. All we need now is the rest of the specs, features, price and design of the console.

Gonna be tougher than usual with all the diapers we’ll be buying, but if I make a lot of concessions for her and build up that domestic equity, I think I can be victorious.

Waiting at least a full year before getting PS5 and/or XBSX is definitely the way to go
All kinds of shit could be happening - discs getting stuck inside, fatal software errors, overheating, and more
Not to mention that with new revisions also come pricedrops. Small, sure, but still pricedrops.

Considering the feature removals on Sony consoles in the past usually were paired with change in hardware for cheaper production purposes, and that the backwards compatibility with PS4 games is entirely software-based - I think it’ll be fine.
More than likely I’ll end up waiting a year before I buy any of the upcoming consoles unless there is something jumps at me immediately. Gives time for anything that needs to be fixed to show up and also gives me a better chance at picking the console that will more exclusives that I’ll enjoy.

That’s right since I’m going to be getting them for pc I can’t bring myself to pay more than 30 bucks for a downloaded title. I have quite a few fighters still in shrink wrap like the uniest games I have the first 2 still brand new but the 3rd game I think is already out? fuck!. I wouldn’t be complaining if these games were actual sequels instead of just updates you know like they used to make them.
