You think putting a demo on a digital storefront would cost more than physical space, a booth and employees for those booths at E3?

E3 and other events allows developers to get the games in the writers, content creators, publishers and etc hands so they can experience it or if they have questions get answers while playing. Demos on digital fronts are not guaranteed to get downloads especially if the store fronts are crowded with other content.
The cost can be high and time consuming but you can get a lot more push from a well received event appearance. Although if you are lucky a Direct type appearance can go viral, but not everyone has a Untitled Goose Game.

E3 has been going downhill over the years but it still sucks to see it get canceled even if a lot of us saw it coming.
I preordered the deluxe edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Before playing the demo, I went from being a little excited about the game to foaming at the mouth in anticipation for it. Combat is sooooo fun and I can’t wait to try more of it out in the full version.
FFVIIR getting delayed until April was honestly a blessing. Can you you imagine it, DOOM Eternal, Nioh 2 AND Animal Crossing: New Horizons dropping in the same month?
I don’t think our minds, bodies (or wallets) would be able to handle it. All those games releasing in the same month would be like the power of Goomba’s Shoe, the Hammer Suit, MMX Hadoken and O Sagat combined. Too much power for anyone

Yeah, that’s a huge thing for me too. I didn’t really mind it much in the first game because you were totally covered in armor most of the time anyway, but it’s definitely nice to get a CAC now. Especially since your demon form looks different depending on how you make them.

From what I can tell, it’s nothing dramatic, but there are slight differences. It even looks different depending on your gender.
