I really only remember Ellie and Joel. I think the brother was also in it. I mean I played the game 7 years ago so I don’t remember that much about it. Also this game takes place at least 4 years later so I mean, people grow and change.
Off topic a bit but are people angry that Chris is a bad guy in RE8? I mean isn’t that out of character for him?
Also not trying to convince anyone to change their mind I don’t really care. But if you aren’t playing TLOU2 you are missing out big time on an incredible experience. But then again, if you are reading the story and/or watching it before you play it, you’re completely ruining the experience too.

I think that the negativity became more extreme once Sony, Naughty Dog and Neil Drunkman started to handle the whole situation, like copyright striking people for even posting memes on twitter.
Add that some months before it was revealed how of a shitshow ND has become under Neil D. and his direction, his obvious political bias that with the current political climate over there only makes things worse, the aledgely shit he made that pushed away all the old guard that everyone left the company, the fact that apparently he is the reason why the movie of Uncharted hasnt taken off, and as one of the writters put it, he is a massive tool.
And then we have his self insert making all the stuff talked about him more apparent, lol.
I think that the leak is the culmination of a lot of stuff, that simply exploded all over the place.
I mean absolutely none of that has anything to do with the game.
So if that is the case it’s basically people just hating on the game for reasons that have nothing to do with the game.
I mean that is just what the world feeds on now a days anyways so while it’s completely stupid, I can “get it” since people are just dumb for the most part.
Someone’s survival habits don’t. Joel has been living in the Apocalypse for over 20 years to be making the mistake that got him killed. His established character traits were ignored because it didn’t fit with the story they wanted to tell.
I am pointing out how that can help intensify the negative feelings that people has torwards the game.
It is not necessarily the reason for everyone, but it sure could permeate into how they feel about the game.
For you could be something that doesnt relate to the game, but for others it could be intrinsic to the game and why it is in the state it is.
People have different metrics on how they judge and value something.
I thought it started out slow for like the first 2-3 hours and I nearly stopped playing it because of how slow it was but then it picked up and never stopped. I loved it.
No, not really, there isnt evidence that she was directly involved.
But what it is sure is that Neil Drunkman shares a lot of her “view points” and for better or worse, it shows on the projects he is involved with.
I want to add, that those elements weighting on how people could perceive the game is in no way stupid.
Some people look at things on a vacuum, but most of the time, everyone reacts to different degrees based on the context of their circumstances.
Maybe for you isnt important, but that doesnt mean that because you dont care, is something that can be dismissed.

Not really. I’m a pretty logical person generally speaking so I have actual logical reasons for things most of the time.
Except there is really no logical reason why I am a Redskins fan at this point.
Disliking something because someone has a different political view than you is just dumb. Like it literally has absolutely no bearing on your enjoyment of the game. None. Nada. It would be the same thing if someone dislikes X because the creator is gay or something.

For someone who is supposedly logical you are being kind of dense on analysing the pov of others.
I wouldnt deny that there can be people that possible dislike the game for those dumb reasons, but is not the only thing that has surrounded the game.
ND has been given plenty of reasons to sour the perception of some people of the game, and the story wouldnt do any favors for many others.
Just to give you an example, my friend that has a vg store has been dealing with people trying to return or trade in the game the whole day, simply because people dislike the product they got.
