Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

Anybody got a PS store link for the Nioh trial?

Oh god…they’re going to ruin Monster Hunter now, after the shiting the bed with the live action Resident Evil movies!!

Yep, and they’re gonna do it while bathing in pools filled with money.

Actually no, I’ve never played any MonHun games, just the free demo for World

If I wanna be honest and objective about this…I’m not sure what exactly the can fuck up in regards to this movie since there is really no story to speak of in the games. There isn’t any ā€˜lore’ to pick from. The only thing they can do is just make a shitty movie in general and completely go out of their way to fuck with the monster designs…that or made the monsters like a pet and not the dangerous things they need to be. If they did that I wouldn’t even have words for how much of a monumental failure that would be. That is probably the biggest ā€˜one job’ that movie has.

This is Hollywood, my friend. Never doubt how it can completely fail on delivering a simple concept to the big screen.

Oh I’m aware. Super Mario Bros was proof enough of that where someone went out of their way to fuck up.

Treating the monsters as pets wouldn’t be damning. That’s exactly what the Monster Hunter Stories side series does.

My initial concern was seeing that the military is in a Monster Hunter film…

I’m not expecting them to pull from stories since its kind of a one off side thing. I’m assuming they are only trying to do something related to the main series.

I am guessing the military gets lost in some sort of time portal, and arrive in Monster Hunter world and have to survive it.

Still can’t imagine why Paul Anderson insists in shoehorning his wife Milia Jovovich in literally every project he makes. Yes, we know you have a hot wife, Paulie. Doesn’t mean you have to forcefeed her mediocre acting skills in every movie you make. I mean, fuck…

Yeah but have you seen what happens to Mila in those movies? She gets nude, covered in blood, covered in dirt, all kinds of shit
He’s basically bringing all his fetishes to life and gets to to do with the help of his wife in a movie under the pretense of a ā€œscriptā€

literally 300 iq strat

I like turn based so don’t agree even slightly. Boulders Gate is a generally turn based series, it should generally remain that way imo. Spin offs are fine to do whatever but a numbered title like Baulders Gate 3 should play like Baulders Gate, and that means turn based. shrug

@Lantis Here’s a thought.

They are getting paid twice for the same project. Paul gets paid for directing (and anything else he does) and his wife gets paid for acting.

Double the pay without having to juggle projects…or you know actually having to audition for the role or anything. Nepotism keeps his wife from having to deal with the machine that is auditions. Rather telling she is only in his movies anymore. She probably wouldn’t get work otherwise.

I’m surprised Paul WS Anderson didn’t cast Milla as Sonya in the first MK 25 years ago lol.

I don’t know if you are a martial arts fan or not, but I remember for years when most of us that were wanted a movie featuring Jet Li and Jackie Chan together… Then they gave it to us as a movie where the main plot is some kid travels to essentially Chinese wonderland.

Baulder’s Gate is a D&D property, and it always be turn based as it still uses D&D rule sets as the core game mechanics.

WOTC would not allow a D&D game not to run a D&D rule set, and turn based is a key part of the rules.
