Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

I enjoyed Rival Schools but I see little reason for it to come back. Settings would do nothing to attract new players: “look, volleyball girl fights baseball guy”. Wouldn’t mind if they were fully integrated into the SF lore. Hinata and the blonde girl are already seen in the beach stage.

Now a new Darkstalkers I want.

Ohh shit!! I finished watching the capitan Tsubasa trailer and now this, someone is bringing the 90’s back . They bring alot of memories these two series were very popular in Mexico specially capitan Tsubasa which have two different animes, dragon quest was cut Short but it was good.

I think it has 4 animes, one for each decade since the 80’s

Were those renditions of the same anime or totally different? I think I watched the 80’s and 90’s both have different stories.

IIRC, they’re sequels to each other, continuing the story of Tsubasa’s career as he moves up the ranks, save for the 2018 one which is a remake.

Man, I just cannot use a Dual Shcok 4 anymore. The controller feels so light, frail and honestly rather cheap when compared to the Switch’s Pro Controller. Even button presses and analog movements felt really gross.

I came to this realization after I synched my spare DS4 to my apple tv as I was trying to play a game I have on it. After about 5 minutes of playing said game it felt so uncomfortable and awkward I had to stop.

The Dual Sense for the PS5 better be up to snuff.

Each one tells the same story, but adds the new stuff from the new mangas
The 80’s had extra content because the manga was still ongoing, so they added the kids world cup and other stuff in the 4 movies. It ran from 1983 to 1986 with 128 eps.

The 89 ovas, Shin Captain Tsubasa were what wasnt adapted on the original series, aka the world cup sub16, it was 13 eps long.

The 1994 anime was Called Captain Tsubasa J, 47 episodes, the 1st 33 are the original series, from 34 to 47 is the 2nd manga, when Oliver goes to Brazil and the others are training for the world cup sub 20.

Since the new manga world youth was ongoing, the anime didnt finish the arcs.

Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002 was developed for the Korea Japan world cup, 52 eisode long, the 1st 19 episodes aka Road to Dream, are once again the original series, 20 to 31 aka Road to Sky is a remake of Shin Captain Tsubasa, 32 to 52 aka Road to Victory is all new, Tsubasa in Brazil, his struggles, Hyuga on Juventus, and Wakabayashi on Hamburgo and they then entering the 2002 world cup ending on the 1st match of the WC between Brazil vs Japan.
The anime doesnt end like the 2002 manga, since the 2002 manga was still ongoing, so the last arc is very different…

2018 Captain Tusbasa, is a new anime of 52 episodes, divided on 2 seasons, it is once again all the stories but this time the last parts following more the mangas.

On mangas it has the original 1981, Wordl Youth 1994, Road to 2002 from 2001, Golden 23 from 2005, Kaigai Gekito Hen from 2009, and Rising Sun from 2013 and ongoing.

Suffice to say, once that manga ends, bet your ass that we will get a new Captain Tsubasa on 2020 something, lol

Are you sure that is not that your DS4 is old and it feels like that because of that?
Because my older DS4 do feel terrible to use, while the new ones feel as sturdy as my lolbox controllers or the wiiu pro controller, which from what i know is basically the same as the switch pro controller.

It’s not. It’s the 2019 Electric Purple Dualshock 4. I’ve only used it three, maybe five times in total. I’ve had the same pro controller for the switch since the console launched.

It might be just cause I’ve played the switch much, much more than my PS4 so the controller feels off. Especially with the nerve damage in my hand. I’m use to feeling that heft in the pro controller. It makes me know I actually have a firm grasp on the controller.

With the buttons and analog: the buttons feel better and the analog sticks genuinely just feel better on the pro controller. The I can feel the presses and movements but for whatever reason they barely register for me on the DS4

edit: I think the main issue might be that the weird feeling finish on the back of the controller is fucking with my hand too. Cause my hand immediately reacts in an uncomfortable/irritated way when i run my fingers across it.

Different textures or materials give my nerve damaged hand/arm weird sensations. for instance Wood makes me hand very itchy, metal give a very faint burning sensation and denim makes my arm break out in goose bumps. Certain plastics (usually the mesh people use for produce, like a bag of onions) makes it feel like I’m handling razor blades.

Aside from build quality which seems to be pretty crap the DS4 is one of my favorites. It feels good to use and is a really nice size.

With that said I am upset my current pad needs replacing again. It has phantom inputs in the up position, as well as a dead zone in the same damn direction. It’s only 2 years old, it’s just so strange and fucking annoying. Might pull it apart and take a look inside but I don’t want to do that.

Well, if you have a medical issue, and as you say, the form is not ergonomic for you, is not wonder you feel the controller off.

I have that issues with some 3rd party controllers i got when living on El Salvador.
I bought them thinking they will be good for fgs, but the form was no bueno for my old programmer hands, lol.

Iunno. It’s probably a mixture of everything I mentioned. I checked the weight of each controller and the DS4 is only 2.1oz lighter than the pro controller but it feels like night and day.

SNK at it again with the limited edition physical release of the SamSho NeoGeo Collection, tempting us with that old school NeoGeo cart box.

Release date for the epic store confirmed

Been in the same boat. My first PS4 controller started throwing random L2 inputs with comparatively low time vs other 1st party controllers I’ve owned. Took it apart and cleaned it, didn’t fix the problem.
