Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

Loved it. Have a run through up on my YouTube channel. Was a lot of fun, I like what they have done with combat, the boss fight was fire. I’m stoked.

In other news, Team Ninja issued an “apology” for making people pay for hair color customization in DOA6

Fucking scumbags

Really enjoying DOOM classic in spite of some of its datedness. Find color coded key cards to open up more areas, pump demons full of holes, repeat. Took me a while but I finally beat Phoboes Plant. Levels are certainly ramping up in difficulty. The MIDI soundtrack is also all kinda of rad.

They are gonna keep doing it until its no longer profitable.

They should just have it as an option to toggle on and off for those sadistic enough.

I prefer some of the safe rooms not be safe, not all tho. It would help further distinguish Nemesis from Mr X. Or have them unsafe for the harder difficulties

an interesting channel I found recently… and this vid caught my eye

…such a shame this game faded away and is forgotten now. There was a lot of interesting strategy and depth to it, imo… though I was admittedly terrible at it, sadly. Hopefully someone will take another shot at rebooting Shadowrun (as a shooter/action game; I don’t give a shit about RTS or whatever “traditional rpg” stuff they usually want this to be) one day.

…and still; similar to the Overwatch situation many years later… I still found myself wanting more. This was basically a multiplayer mode being sold as a whole game. I always want some story mode stuff to go with that.

looks like 6 more problems to work out till the trails from zero translation is released if anyone else here cares.

Shadowrun is a tabletop game. RTS or CRPG are the genres to go with to faithfully adapt the tabletop. The Microsoft game is Shadowrun in name only.

I wouldnt really blame Team Ninja for the dumbfuckery that tecmo decides to pull with their games.
It is sad that DOIA6 is bein always surrounded by controversy because Tecmo keeps fucking up, it is a good game, imo.
Although, i will say that some of the controversies, like having a lot of DLC is kinda dumb, outside the chars, you dont really need to buy them, and even then, if you just want a set, you dont need to gamble on lootboxes to get it.
I assume that most of those who complain about it is because they want a way to unlock that stuff for free, :man_shrugging:

The only thing i would agree about that, is that unlike DOA5, now we dont have a way to just buy the outfits for the chars we want, and are forced to buy the whole set.

Yea but again those are publisher decisions and people buy them so I can’t really be upset at them selling cosmetics. People buy that shit, be mad at them. What they finally had enough at hair colors? Hah.

I dont mind them selling cosmetics.
I actually think is stupid that people complain about them selling them, or having a lot of them.
Specially when you can buy directly what you want instead of wasting money on loot boxes.

Like i said, the only critic i have is that before we could buy the outfits we liked directly, now is the bundle or nothing.

Outside of that, i think is fine imo.
The same for selling DLC chars, although, considering that outside Kula and the upcoming DLC char, every DLC char was already on DOA5, basically they are re selling the DOA5 cast again, which i think is a valid criticism, and one of the reasons why the doa community has been apathic about the game.

Now, selling customizable hair colors that is kind of going to far, mostly because what they are selling you is the ticket to change the color once, and if you want to change it back, you need to pay.
And those tickets are sold in sets like gacha games, so you have to buy a bunch for them.
