I saw this last night on the eshop and said the same thing. It’s Kunio-Kun with Jay and Silent Bob. Gonna pass but I was surprised I didn’t hear anything, and just came across it.
Concerning W101 rmebaster/ I read you have to buy 3 separate Unite Morph Attacks to do them, while the original just let you do them. Such a weird change, for something so useful. Buying is in-game currency.
it’s kind of a shame that Halo doesn’t seem relevant anymore. The last time I played was indeed part 5, but that seems like centuries ago at this point… I only played it for a short time back when it was new. I think they should just continue trying to push Gears as the main event, “on-brand” Xbox thing. (edit–still makes sense I suppose to get whatever you can out of Halo as a franchise though…better than certain other dumbass companies that are content to just sit on their IPs forever doing nothing with them) I still care about that franchise, even though there was plenty to complain about with part 4 and 5.
The next generation isn’t going to be won in the next twelve months unless either Sony or MS drops the ball big time. Sony with their limited info is both a curse and a blessing as it allows them to adapt to counter whatever MS does. They have the built in advantages of Japanese developers and publishers favoring them along with a strong audience in Europe loyal to the PS brand.
MS however has more money then anyone and seem to be playing the long game with Game Pass unlike say Google. So the brand building seems like their current windows strategy where they want us all to be subscribed to a service and frankly depending on how the xCloud service goes I can’t see who else would have the experience or tech to stop them.
Oh you know Sony is. There be a handful of both exciting new IP as well as some games to existing series. We see it time and time again with Sony.
Examples They be like here a new 3D Beat em up for a studio that only did 2D Dating Sims on mobile before and somehow it looks amazing, and we see something we understood the concept for but with a new twist like how Knack or Big Little Planet was received, We see a returning series like Uncharted or Twisted Metal, or Rogue Galaxy or something. And a few games that are console exclusive to Sony but we get PC versions as well like something from Squeenix or Capcom.
Xbox SeX not having a killer app/game at launch is going to get the console murdered like the Xbone did.
A good friend of mine lent me his copy of Resident Evil 7. I haven’t played it yet though. Wondering what y’all’s opinion is of the game for anyone who’s played it.
Resident Evil 7 is a good game. To put it simply, it’s classic RE in first person. I had a great time with it. The Bakers were great, atmosphere is amazing and there’s some truly scary shit that happens throughout. The biggest negatives being the slow movement. Your fastest speed will be a brisk jog. Enemy variety is poor (you only fight four enemies types throughout the entire game) and personally for me, the game overstayed it’s welcome by the third act.
I think the only RE game I played was the one with Ashley in it. On the Wii I believe it was. I liked it. More of an action game than a horror game though.
That 50 game deal is nearly the same deal I got some years ago. I got 75 games for 30 bucks. When I say same deal I mean the games are the same games I got then. But there are some newer ones in there.
If that’s what you think, you haven’t been paying attention. If Sony doesn’t fuck up. They’ll win but if this is how Phil Spencer is going to run Xbox, then Sony has to put their best foot forward. MS is taking a huge gamer friendly stance, like Sony did with PS4. They put a system into place that allows people to buy games for their current console and get a free upgrade to the next gen version. Sure some asshats like EA won’t support it but that combined with the fact the system plays games from every generation of Xbox is good selling point. It’s also clear that he is going after Japanese titles. Something that helped the 360 be so successful and something the Xbox One didn’t which essentially limited the platform to the US and UK by default.
Thing is Microsoft NEEDS Sony to fail. If they don’t, they’ll only sell the 12-15ish million that they always do, with the 360 being the only exception. Meanwhile Sony consoles always sell 90-100 million+++
The only time Msoft was able to do that was when Sony fucked up. They’re a distant 3rd place in console sales everytime otherwise.
Edit: Every major title is also going to be on PC as well as other platforms. What’s the appeal of buying a console if there’s literally NOTHING exclusive or special about it?
What’s really disappointing is how Microsoft have been mishandling their exclusives library pretty much since the original Xbox
They got real lucky with the Holy Trinity but beyond that…
Fable is in limbo
Project Gotham Racing died
Too Human never got a sequel
Ryse had potential but given Crytek’s financial struggles it never worked out
Where is Killer Instinct?
They own Rare but instead of producing new hits they were pretty much turned into a Kinect-only studio
ReCore kinda went and gone
Steel Battalion revival when?
No Xbox console, not even the original one, sold as poorly at 12 to 15 million. The original Xbox sold 25 million, XB1 sits at double that. 12-15 million is Wii U territory.
Do you really want Too Human back? The game was shit and it can’t be legally sold thanks to Silicon Knights reverse engineering Unreal for the game’s engine and got sued into the ground.
I thought Too Human was an interesting concept that was executed poorly but once it came out that SK jacked Unreal any hope of it getting revisited was gone. Plus lets be honest, Silicon Knights games making ability tanked anyway. I wouldn’t want any game from them at this point.
I really enjoyed Eternal Darkness. I liked the way the game did things to fuck with you as your character went insane. Making your TV go snowy or making a volume meter that went down. It was well done.
