Did anyone else here pick up the Switch port of A Hat In Time? I’m looking at finally picking it up.
I got it but I haven’t opened my copy up yet. Patches were put out not long after release to improve performance.
i’'m actually finishing my xenosaga ep 3 playthrough i started in middle school. i also might try to finish cold steel 3 before sunday. since i live in georgia and they said fuck it go back to work i got a couple of days to finish some stuff.
They probably are afraid of fucking it up given these games are made in mostly Western studios and at anytime a Japan developed game can outshine them in the subject matter.
I remember a producer of the series talking about this. He said something in the vein of wanting to avoid time periods that have been explored to death like WW2, wild west and feudal Japan. I still would like to see it. It will get me interested enough to actually want to play those games.
But none of them are going to be exclusive to the console…so?
I personally don’t want to see current gen games on Xbox X. That does not interest me in the least. And since they said there won’t be any exclusives for at least a year, this is a big fat MEH.
damn, I was hoping that “Book of Demons” was one of those games where you are in the role of the villain, creating dungeons and placing monsters here and there to stop the heroes. It’s a shame how that type of game is a rarity.
Warhammer Chaosbane— I really wish this game was better than it actually is. It’s just so disappointingly shallow. I know that people call my precious Diablo 3 shallow but Chaosbane is far worse from what I’ve seen. (sidenote— Blizz should step it up with the depth of D4, because that tiny skill tree they showed off was looking sad, especially in a world where Path of Exile exists.)
ha, I double-checked and yep…sure enough the guy was lying. A certain person I know that has a tendency to lie to make himself seem like he knows more than whoever he’s speaking to (an apparent “Napoleon” or one-upsmanship sort of issue) said the “nemesis” monster eventually came to PC version Diablo 3. Nope, it’s still not the case. And thus… PC version continues to be the “Sweaty, Unwiped Ass” edition of the game, imo.
ooh…but I think it’s about time for Streets of Rage 4 to hit the eShop finally… yes yesssss… it’s about to be ON…
No doubt man. The amount of communication between all 15 would have to be immaculate to not have any fuckups and considering that the last time Ubisoft tried to make an Ass Creed game during a generation shift, we got the buggy mess of Unity. All of this shit is a recipe for disaster.
Literally constantly.
Anyway, someone brought up Assassin’s Creed not having a game set in fuedal Japan. Don’t be dumb bro, you already got that game years ago so why aren’t you happy! It’s even a side scroller!

In all seriousness, yeah, I’ve been asking for an Assassin’s Creed where you play as a ninja assassin in fuedal Japan since literally the second fucking game. It’s like they’ve been side stepping that concept out of spite and going into every Era of human history besides that one.
I honestly can’t say I’ve been thrilled with any of these games for a really long time. The last time I got super into an AC game was Black Flag, and even thad had its problems. After that they seem to insist on jamming these RPG aspects into everything and I feel less and less like an “assassin” with each release.
I’ll give Valhalla a shot, but if it ends up being more of the same BUT WITH VIKINGS, I’m gonna pass.
y’know… mentioning that “dungeonmaster”/villain concept also reminded me; a shame few people remember it but me, most likely—I really enjoy that game called “CRAWL”. It’s an interesting little asymmetrical multiplayer sort of thing… there’s 4 player characters, and only 1 person is a living human/hero. The other 3 people play ghosts that are trying to stop him…when the human is killed, whoever landed the finishing blow gets to become the human/hero, and now that person is the target. The ghosts can control certain objects in the room as weapons and spawn little slime enemies, but more importantly they can possess or become various monsters that can directly attack the human. There is also a boss battle at the end of each game session, where the human warrior fights a large monster…and the 4 ghost/monster players control parts of that giant monster. I love the concept going on here…really good stuff… and of course it can end either way, with a “Monsters Win!” or “Human Survived!” win screen…it’s been a while since I played it though.
I do wish there was slightly more to it though, but what’s there is fun:
I’m always pro Team Monster, naturally… there were times when I could’ve become the human but chose to stay as a ghost/monster There’s also certain stats to consider and a LOT of stuff to unlock.
Downloading it right now for PC, but I will get the Swtich version later.
Black Flag till this day is the GOAT AC game!!
They nailed the pirate and naval experience.
This looks fucking sick
Looks like Daddy of War head artist and character designer, Raf Gressetti is going to be apart of the Valhalla team in some way

@Hawkingbird I don’t know what choice discount is but that’s almost $8 off at launch. So?
Isn’t Tenchu literally the Assassin Creed Japan game everyone wanted?
Remind me real quick when the last Tenchu game was
OG PS1 Tenchu is the Gawd Game. I S ranked everything.
Fucking lit.
So lemme get this Humble Bundle thing straight. I’ve never looked into it until now and I feel like I’m failing to understand.
You pay a monthly sub, and they give you a pool of games to choose from every month, and you just get whatever 9 of those games you want? And you can even play them without the sub? Forever? So I would be getting SOR4 with that bundle or?
Seems to good to be true.
