You have to look on this from the other side - Disney literally proclaimed all the Extended Universe material as noncanonical almost right after purchasing the Star Wars IP only to blatantly steal certain elements from it to incorporate them into the shitty Sequel Trilogy as if they’re geniuses that aren’t creatively bankrupt.
I’m not gonna hijack the thread over SW stuff. But as was shown there, plenty if EU material was suspect as hell. Some of the things that made it into films, like Palpatine’s big ol’ force lightning, a lot of EU fans suddenly hated.

The execution of those elements were shit. Rey being able to heal with the force was a moment that came out of nowhere and it relied on audiences seeing that weeks episode of the Mandalorian to make sense of it. Much like everything about Rey she can do it just because.

It wasn’t that long ago you called it fanfiction due to the wildly different take they took the story and it’s characters. Personally what we’re getting is far more interesting than the story we got back in 97. As long as it doesn’t go full Kingdom Hearts it’s all good.
Adding new elements changes the story so fanfiction it is.

Huh? FF7R has THE original writer dude. Like it’s only him with the writing credit. Nomura isn’t even credited for writing at all unlike for KH for example.

It’d be cool to get on the PS4 so the icon could sit next to Yakuza, Judgment and FotNS but, the icon looks cool next to the Sega games I have on Switch as well.
If it had the dating-sim elements and/or hostess mini-game from the Yakzua games, I’d have to double dip, but alas.

Doing it on Switch. If its the same performance then I’d also like the ability to take it wherever.
It isn’t that I don’t like them, its just that all that story blah blah blah and waaah waaa waaah doesn’t fit my gaming needs anymore. I don’t have the patience for story stuff anymore. I got time to game not to hear how some video game broad is sad because somebody came and killed their village. I don’t have time to be sad, I got time to go body some people. Lets go lift and then fight squiggas.
For as great as Owlboy is, its constantly jamming in story segments that I don’t give a shit about every time I’m fully digging in the gameplay. Instead of finishing the game, I just stopped giving a crap because I don’t care about any of these fake people and their fake beef. I’m just an owlkid with my fly wings going on adventures; you care that much then pick up an AK and settle shit with these damn pirates.
Need a wrap it up button for all these games trying to tell me a story.
