Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

Like I said before, I doubt that was THE thing that chased Mick away. Just the last straw. But why is Bethesda even getting to “last straw” stages with Mick?

I already liked the Turks in the original FF7, but ima need them to remake that mobile game or give them some sort of DLC, they’re even more awesome in this version

Ha, my theory about the whispers were correct. I wonder if time travel is involved

Currently in the Shinra building, still have a small bit ways to go since I’m still infiltrating it. Should be done in the next few days and then I can go back and read what everyone else has been saying.

ha, I still laugh at the fact that Diablo 3 has a “pants” item that makes it like your character farts in high stress situations…the “Pox Faulds”
https://www.diablowiki.net/Pox_Faulds
when 3 or more enemies are close (within 12 yards) you release a “vile stench” that does a certain % of weapon damage. Yeah, I am indeed this easily amused. The fart damages enemies all around you, of course.

Seems to be a bit of time travel and people knowing things before they should. There’s a pretty interesting theory I read somewhere.

Summary

The theory states that Aerith actually has knowledge of the events of the original timeline. During the ending of the original FF7, the game cuts to a shot of Aerith’s face from the start of the game. While this was ostensibly just then cutting corners and reusing footage, the theory asks “what if this is actually Remake Aerith seeing the events of the original game?” Which is why we get to see one change so early – Aerith getting spooked as she stands up. She’s somehow viewing the original game from the mako/lifestream and is worried that someone or something (the whispers) has noticed.

Throughout the game, Aerith does seem to act like she has some foreknowledge of the events of the original and knows things that she shouldn’t, such as:

It can also explain some of the changes to the things she does, why her fighting style is less defensive, why she actually goes out of her way to help organize an evacuation of Sector 7.

-Cloud being a merc (in a moment where she obviously slips up)
-Marlene existence when she was talking to Tifa (though they hide it by having Tifa say Marlene’s name in the train graveyard)
-Who Jenova and Sephiroth are and the threat they represent to the planet

It also explains some of her actions, why her fighting style is more offensive now (including favoring Fire magic), and why she’s more proactive in trying to organize an evacuation effort in Sector 7.

The other thing the theory states, is that the whispers are actively trying to take that knowledge away from her. Aerith does state that she feels like she’s losing a part of her every time they touch her – they’re trying to change her back to be more like how she was in the original timeline.

Been watching Strive Beta Matches and game looks like a lot of fun. Still looks fast and furious but more grounded (less air play), not sure thats good or bad yet, but it does look fun currently.

Everyone seems to fucking hate the lobby system tho lol.

Arc Systems are a great development team and rising publisher.

But yeah they have shit taste in lobbies, I mean most ain’t great by any means but yeah the lobbies are usually the worst part of their games.

I didn’t mind the Xrd series lobbies. Not the best but functional and easy. This new one sounds like a disaster.

Kuro and Hecatom are going to Day Juan this shit.

So apparently the NPCs added in Fallout 76’s latest patch can steal people’s gear when they die and there’s no way to get it back. I’d feel sorry for those who’ve encountered this glitch, but it’s Fallout 76, they all knew what they were getting into.

I have that game “blocked” on my steam account…

Well my theory isn’t that deep, but I do l like it better lol, I feel like the whispers stop anybody trynna change their fate, basically deviate from their death in the original FF7 or save them if they aren’t supposed to do. Seems like they’re course correctors if you will. Not sure if there is time travel, but I think it’s very possible someone knows what’s up in-game As I said, my theory isn’t nearly as cool or deep as that one tho.

I don’t think your theory conflicts with d3v’s. In fact I’m pretty sure your theory is ACTUALLY what they are. I think it’s pretty clear. Even if some details end up being a little different in later parts.

Whether Aerith came back around or not they’ll still trying to course correct.
