This… will either be one of the best games or one of the worst. No in-between.
I honestly can’t see what they’d update besides the graphics due to RE Engine.
Gameplay still holds up. So it’s a different beast from say, RE2 and RE3.
Bullet-spongy RE2 zombies are definitely no good in RE4, RE3R shows that they don’t exactly make action swarm moments interesting (Shout-outs to the hospital) and RE4 is all about those.
They’ll definitely print money with RE4R, but is it a game that actually needs a Remake?
Yeah, but fuck CV.
This certainly explains why RE3 was outsourced to hell and back. Main team was probably cooking up RE4.
sheeeitttt, Diablo 3— I did another Challenge Rift yesterday, on Switch version…that shit pays off soooo nicely every time. So after just a 2nd Challenge Rift, my seasonal character is now sitting on 10 million gold, and I got another 475 blood shards…on top of another pack of crafting materials for the cube… still not quite level 70 though; I’ve been terribly slow-paced on that front. I probably should’ve picked necromancer or witch doctor, but I was curious to check out the wizard’s new set item bonuses in action.
The amount of gold you accumulate in this game has changed so drastically since the game’s launch it’s insane… back in launch-era D3, it would be a big deal to get even a few thousand gold so you could get something possibly from the Gold Auction House…and that was the only way to get good items back then (it was incredibly lucky to even get yellow rarity items with decent, relevant stats); the game’s drop rates were laughably stingy… and obviously that was on purpose, so players would be pushed towards the Auction House system.
Been waiting on the RE4 remake ever since RE2R, but am unsure how they’re going to approach it. What can they do to it other than upgrade the graphics, since it started the gameplay style RE2 and 3R revived themselves with?
I can’t wait for another wave of degeneracy as people make mods to look up Ashley’s skirt, completely undress Ada, and change Leon’s appearance once people see the debut trailer and dislike his redesign
what a piece of shit that Soul Calibur VI is, man… it’s still seemingly the same as the last one at least, but the way the customization mode is now just pissed all over that parade. It’s to the point where there’s always this immediate feeling of regret every time I see the game when looking around in the “My Games” section for something to play.
Basically, it’s the excessive loading time on each change for a character that brings the whole experience down. I don’t think I’ve seen this happen in any other game with character creation, actually…I am not sure how they managed to fuck that up so much. It’s literally every time you cycle through the various options for anything: Hairstyle 1…change = LOAD TIME. Hairstyle 2…nah, changing = LOAD TIME. Ok, now to change the fight style… = LOAD TIME. etc. etc. etc. forever. Whoever made it this way should get punched in the face as hard as possible a few times…preferably by a professional boxer, with no gloves on.
Not on board for REm4ke. Game is great as is and there’s other RE titles that should be looked at first. Game could wait a few more years when we get deep into PS5 and SeXbox though. Switch spoiled me on this too as I can take RE4 anywhere I go and the graphics (while slightly cleaned) still hold out decently.
Fuck man. What a crazy time to be alive. We’ll have updated Remakes of the first 4 games. Every game in the series will have a modern look to it now. Crazy.
I welcome the chance for them to make the game look even better than it already does, and remove some of the annoying shit about the original. Like, every Ashley escort segment could be straight up removed and I will not bat an eye. Take out the segments where you play as her too. I do think there’s one creative segment with Ashley you could leave in, now that I think about it.
Other than that, you could pretty much give me the same exact game with an updated paint of coat, and I’ll be ecstatic.
If RE4 Remake has Mercenaries, which it damn well should, that would be the perfect cherry on top.
I really, really think RE3 is suited for a Mercenaries mode via dlc. I’ll even pay 5 bucks for it, just gimmie Mercenaries with that sweet ass dodge Capcom!
