I bet some shit is gonna happen at SE in the upcoming years and FF7Rās story wonāt be finished like FF15. Although 15 isnāt as prestigious as 7.

So apparently people hate FF7Re new story.
Supposedly itās a huge departure from the original and introduces one of the shittest things you can add to a story
Summary
Time travel.
Needless to say, but the salt is hilarious and I still think FF7 is wack. Shouldāve remade IX.

Donāt really know the differences, but people should have expected it to be quite different. SE even said it when they were making the game. If you donāt like all the new changes, just play and enjoy the original.
Though I guess youāre gonna have people arguing about the canon and shit.

Just seems like Normura fucked up the story much like Kingdom Heartsā¦thereās honestly no good outcome if that happens.

ā¦Your laughter leads me to believe time travel is involvedā¦god dammit. Well lets see how bad this messes up things. Iām still going in pretty blind on extra story beats and I donāt know when my copy is gonna get here. I will say from the 2 reviews Iāve listened to so farā¦I want this ost pretty damn bad!

I mean Nomura is a great artist, but as a story teller and based off the last 15 years as a game director son is arse with unrelated well thought out tattoos on both cheeks.
Expect the game to look gorgeous, also expect pretty good game play, cause I think they took Nomura off of that side of things to get the game out, but story probably will be Nomura for all that entails.

The only gripes Iāve seen so far are the story and itās a bit too linear ala FF13.
Seems good on every other front. Iām sure most besides the Uber hardcore FF7 lovers will love the game.
Itās disappointing seeing another Normura story train wreck like FF15 and kingdom hearts. Get him working on something else already.

I donāt have any issues with linear designs or story as long as its done well. Iām in general wary of any story that has time travel elements in it because its rarely ever done well and eventually always leads to some hole in the plot that that either gets larger the more thats thought on it or can often time get as a story progresses afterwards. Chrono Trigger is the only game Iāve played that I can think of where time travel wasnt a detriment.

Naw, if you start thinking about it CTs time travel is a mess to. Youāre not supposed to think about time travel too hard.
Easy Allies seems to like the writing. Yea wonāt know till I play of course. Fans seem pissed about everything these days, cant say i take fans very seripusly anymore. What 5 more days or so till we get to play?
Edit: Looks like it took them 35 hours. Pretty good.
Side quests sound kinda lame but are 100% optional. Ku.
Off to work. Will have to finish the review when I get home.

That was a good game.
Surprisingly, a FG actually pulled it off too. Blazblue Calamity Trigger actually makes its timeloops work. Buncha time travel involved in that one without ripping a hole in the plot.
Itās not that bad. Iād say thereās a couple moments where things get weird, like Marle disappearing despite Queen Leene still being alive and unharmed (kidnapping aside).
Iād put it together with Ocarina of Time in terms of Plot Holes per Time Travel.

Youāre not supposed to think about time travel too hard.
But every time itās used as a plot device, it makes you think too hard.
