I hate Barretts voice in the remake, should’ve hired the dude who voiced Jett in Cowboy Bebop. This new guy overacting like a mfer in these scenes. Maybe he’ll grow on me

I kinda feel the VA is doing just enough right now for where Barret is headwise in the story. Dude was really gung ho on being an environmental terrorist during the Midgar arc (for kinda good reason). Hopefully he’ll start mellowing out as more pressing matters come up.

Yeah, I will try those options if I get the game. Though I am a bit impatient so that’s against me.
I played the Code Vein demo and that seemed more my speed, it’s not as unforgiving as Nioh.
which didn’t need to happen in the first place. I really don’t see how taking an 8hr experience that has a narrative that plays out like a movie will work as an actual movie. The best video game movies are those that have pretty simple plots already.
Antonio is a pretty big get…wonder what role they are gonna put him in. ALMOST want the the ps4 memes to come full circle in this movie with that announcement.

I will say Nioh can end up being really hard or not that bad, it really depends on the build. If you want full on NG like difficulty then go light and fast. And if you want more time and room for error and such, then mid to heavy weight will be better. Builds have a lot of influence on how that game plays.

So Riot showed off “Alpha” gameplay, but the game releases in a few months?
Idk it doesn’t look impressive to me. I feel only way it will take off is if Riot just throws money all over.

Personally, Uncharted is one of those games that can easily work as a movie plus…the actual “game” part of Uncharted to me is boring as hell. It was only the characters, not the plot really but the actual characters that kept me going.
The issue with the movie is that we’re not getting 90 minutes to 2 hours of Nate, Elena and Sully doing shit and THAT’S what defeats the purpose of the movie.

Yea you know as someone who really likes Uncharted, and likes videogame movies, a videogame that is a send up of Indiana Jones being turned into…Indiana Jones…seems rather pointless and anti-hype. Already have Indi, and the main draw of Uncharted is that it’s a movie you play so removing the play is removing the main draw.

After trying out the FF7R demo probably the most fun aspect of the game will be looking through every square millimeter of its location, searching for all the details and objects. The posters on the train station were pretty fun. Also there’s a Loveless poster lying on the ground between steel beams.
Kinda hoping there’s a PS5 release because on base PS4…it’s not all that pretty. Sure, it doesn’t look bad, but there’s a 30fps cap, and very poor antialiasing
30fps cap makes sense, and anti-alising may not be functioning in the demo yet.

Exactly. I know talented people work on these kinds of things, but I hope it fails miserably.
For example - this final scene in GOW (2018). I can’t think of any way that a real version could be done any better.
Music, visuals, acting . . . . it’s practically watching a movie play out.
FF7RE demo was pretty sick. I’m ready.
Hopefully the month between Nioh 2 coming out and FF7 will be enough time for me to grind the hell out of Nioh and want a break. I’m not sure it will lol

I’ll unfortunately be skipping Nioh 2 for a while in favour of a gaming laptop and DOOM Eternal. Kinda bummed but I’ll get it eventually and someone can carry me.
