I don’t think I made myself clear. So I’ll take the L on that. I said that people some anoint FFVI the best FF of all time but not the best game of all time like they did/do with FFVII. Re-reading my post. I realized that I did not express that clearly.

Ah ok, i misunderstood.
Every game people call the best of all time are over rated. Ovarian of Time has long been surpassed by tons of adventure games yet it still charts on “Best of” lists constantly.

There were. An perfect port of the first game was ported to the Xbone as KI classic as part of a bundle with the new game. KI2 was released with season two

If it means anything I agree. 7 is my favorite but it’s all nostalgia and good memories and shit. I bought it and my PS1 the same night with my own money. First console and game I ever “earned” on my own. I love the story, characters and gameplay, but the whole thing is rough as fuck. Translations hella dodgy, it’s fucking ugly to look at most of the time, and 0 analogue support. All things the sequels improved upon.
I love the game but it’s hella flawed. I’m really happy it’s getting remade. I’m hype it’s an action game and I get people who are disappointed by that but it works for me. I just hope the Materia system stays as retarded as it was.

i was kinda disappointed it wasn’t turned based at first but now i welcome the new experience. besides somebody with a lot of free time will probably mod a turn based system into the pc version later anyway.

ignorant opinion but i’d like to have complete control of my character for once. FFXV turned out to be a pain although I barely started that game
FFVII gets overrated as much as not many RPGs did what it did before, and VII did it with mass market appeal on a console instead of a PC.
But I agree its way over rated.

i don’;t like any fantasy game, Chrono trigger still is the best RPG ever created period.
I have fun memories of FFVIII, i would beat it sometime I heard the remake was shit thou
