Video Game General 6.5: Now with more surprise mechanics

How the Dude tried to sue for the exact same thing not once but twice, both times the Judge rejected the case as he seen as frivolous and the judge had to smack down with a warning if he sees the case comes up again that there be criminal charges for Ken Penders (and his attorney).

Bold of you to believe first 1-2 years of nextgen wonā€™t be remasters of games from 2013-2015 era

Bro, stop. We only have a month until Nioh 2? Goddamn, I didnā€™t even realize. I really gotta get some of these games out of my backlog by then. DBFZ Season 3 is gonna eat up so much of my time in a couple days, and thereā€™s still so much I need to playā€¦

Then RE3 gonna be dropping soon after that dropsā€¦ Christ. This break from constant bangers being released was short lived.

Heh, weā€™re still getting remasters/re-releases. Bayo/Vanquish last week and Megamang tomorrow.

I liked last-gen way more than this one overall.

IIRC, the patch drops tomorrow, Kefla and the Season pass on the 26th.
Gonna see if Kefla, Broly and Broly work as a team.

(I still hope they add Caulifla and Kale)

Anyone coming to pax east? Iā€™ll. Be at my booth vending this weekend

Yeah, I was wanting Caulifla too, but this is the next best thing and Iā€™m more than happy with it.

Iā€™m gonna try Kefla/Cooler/Frieza probably. Pretty much every team I try to make involves the cold Brothers, but now that we got assist select I can finally get a fucking beam AND pick Cooler. :smiling_imp:

Switch usually gets the characters a day early too. So, I assume if you get the Switch season pass tommorow you might even get to play Kefla tommorow as well.

Weā€™ll see. Iā€™m so hype either way man. Itā€™s becoming a whole new game.

Kefla comes with the Season pass, so if they release it always one day before other consoles, then yes.
She being sold separatedly comes untill the 28th for all consoles.

What I said has nothing to do with what youā€™re saying.

7th generation was quite honestly fascinating. Lots of AA-tiltes, the rise of indies, industry moving into the HD era, console graphics being pushed to a new level now having more-or-less parity with PC releases, online multiplayer becoming the norm, and of course who could forget the trainwrecks of 599$, RROD, 3DTVs, and motion controls.

I would lie if I told you Iā€™m not sad that gaming probably will never see that kind of a visual fidelity leap as PS2 -> PS3 did

  1. I was making a joke
and 2) I would not be surprised in the slightest if both PS5 and XBSX will be riddled with all kinds of remasters just like PS4 was

March 13th baybee

Iā€™m so hyped dude. As Iā€™m replaying the first game, it really is mostly just the lack of enemy variety that sucks so Iā€™m really glad thatā€™s a point theyā€™re focused on.

Yeah, publishers realize they can do a minimum amount of work, effort and resources with a tried and true IP and charge full price for that IP.

Plus with shady scalpers willing to jack up old cart and disc prices even more than they are actually worth, the remakes/remasters are looking like a more attractive alternative top play older games on modern systems.

Facts

How many triceratops will the PS5 have?

Rumors and ā€œinsider reportsā€ vary in saying how much ppower is PS5 going to be carrying relatively to XBSX. Some say the two will be equal, some way Green Army has the technological advantage this time, some say Sony will be the more powerful system. But basically expect anywhere between 10-13tflops

The rumors are at least 1 herds worth

As someone that collects I am mixed about it. You are right, but itā€™s a dick move. Best Buy had to incorporate rules for Steelbooks because there were people that would literally go across the state and buy up all the copies.

They do care. That means that they have a market demand for a higher price.

This. I think for limited runs, you could do a made to order concept. That way, people who want it can get it.

Letā€™s see how well the game libraries will beeeeeā€¦

This is what bothers me. Dude seems to think he owns the IP. He does not and never will.

  • Next Generation Custom Processor: Xbox Series X is our most powerful console ever powered by our custom designed processor leveraging AMDā€™s latest Zen 2 and RDNA 2 architectures. Delivering four times the processing power of an Xbox One and enabling developers to leverage 12 TFLOPS of GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) performance ā€“ twice that of an Xbox One X and more than eight times the original Xbox One. Xbox Series X delivers a true generational leap in processing and graphics power with cutting edge techniques resulting in higher framerates, larger, more sophisticated game worlds, and an immersive experience unlike anything seen in console gaming.
  • Variable Rate Shading (VRS): Our patented form of VRS empowers developers to more efficiently utilize the full power of the Xbox Series X. Rather than spending GPU cycles uniformly to every single pixel on the screen, they can prioritize individual effects on specific game characters or important environmental objects. This technique results in more stable frame rates and higher resolution, with no impact on the final image quality.
  • Hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytracing: You can expect more dynamic and realistic environments powered by hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytracing ā€“ a first for console gaming. This means true-to-life lighting, accurate reflections and realistic acoustics in real time as you explore the game world.

It sounds exciting. Though I could not help but notice MS patented a way to deliver shaders? lol
