Itâs almost 1:1 whatever the Xbox has, similar to this gen since the CPU+GPU is both from AMD. Only difference so far is the supposedly better custom SSD thatâs going into the PS5.
They keep saying Zen 2, but which processor specifically is what I want to know. Zen 2 is vague because thereâs a shitload of processors that are Zen 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zen_2

Is it confirmed that theyâll be using that laptop processor? If so, my 3700X will clap the entire generation. 
I bet theyâll make mid-gen PS5 Pros and shit again though.
4800U is a 3700X with half the L2 cache. Its used in the upcoming APU lineup. Not really much of a downgrade from the 3700X. Makes sense to use the mobile Ryzen 2 for the console space.

Did they say anywhere that the consoles will use that processor specifically and that it will be clocked at 3XXX GHZ?
PS4/Xbone had a laptop APU too from what I remember. I mostly remember tears of people complaining about how slow the clockspeed was. 
All the APU leaks for XBSEX and PS5 have a CPU clock speed of 3.2Ghz. The base clock of the 4800U is 2.9Ghz so 3.2Ghz seems dead on considering cooling should be easier in a console than a laptop.

As long as the CPU doesnât become a bottleneck the way Jaguar was this generation weâre good, all what PS5 and XBSX need to leap ahead of PS4 and XB1
Has it been confirmed Cerny is the system architector this time as well? I do remember he was the one who gave the WIRED interview about PS5 and âsecret sauceâ but I donât know how much is he involved with designing the console
That wonât be an issue with Ryzen 2 based CPUs. The architecture is embarrassing virtually all of Intels lineup in the PC space.

3.2GHZ. Iâm good for the gen.
I donât think Iâm going to bother buying a next-gen console with the way things are going. If I do, itâll be a few years down the line when the PS5 UBER PRO releases.
Space is going to be a big issue next gen Iâm thinking. I have a 500GB HDD in my regular olâ PS4 and I can barely have more than a couple of games on it at a time before having to uninstall multiple titles to install one game. If the SSD is 1TB in the PS5, that can literally be filled by a couple of a 100GB+ titles.

Yeah game sizes are ludicrous these days. No way they are optimizing file sizes. It wonât happen but SSD drives should be 2TB on next gen consoles.

I googled it and everyoneâs saying release date TBD. I could see a Q4 but I could see it breezing past Q4 as well.
