We can call it whatever we want. Non realistic, too optimistic, delusional or naive, attach whatever word you need. To me it seems like the only people here assuming things are the ones with utmost certainty that there will be nothing announced, when the truth is you don’t know any more than anyone else does.
To me, it’s unrealistic not to consider all the possibilities. I’m not saying any of this is gonna happen, but I think it’s possible and maybe even likely. I don’t know for certain either way tho, and it’s just kinda amusing to me to hear the naysayers here be so sure of themselves when objectively we have no way of knowing either way.
I see good reasoning as to why we would get an announcement, I see good reasoning as to why we might not. Personally I just don’t see a reason for Joey to throw it in there unless he was incentivized to do so, by Capcom or otherwise. He could give a fuck less about Marvel and it’s anniversary, or doing good by the community for the sake of doing good by the community. Because again, it would be a normal ass tournament and not an 8 man invitational if he really wanted to get the entire community involved. But that’s not the case.
So yeah, that’s my reasoning. Take it or leave it. I have no interest in calling anyone here names or being pointlessly aggressive just because your view is opposite of mine. There’s sound logic supporting both scenarios.

BTW, i think i am the only one here who isnt hyped about MVC2 having an event on evo this year lol.
I was never a fan of the game, i actually hated playing it (even when i was a competent player on it, lol), but i always liked to watch when a good friend who was like a little brother to me (RIP) played it, he was one of the top 2 players in my country, only behind another friend of us.
I am sure that he will be exploding of joy watching his fav game getting an event for its 20th anniversary.
It is. Honestly, it’s a substantially better game than the first. Like, by a lot. Definitely better than Destiny, and that’s coming from a 5 year career Destiny player.
That new expansion actually has me interested too. But yeah, it basically costs pocket change right now. Too good not to snatch up, imo.

Yeah, but i doubt he is in a position that has enough power to let this happen.
Now, i do think he could have helped smooth the process by letting them know who to talk about it.
