Oh I agree. I fucking hate Funko. But it’s because I’ve dealt with them personally. When I worked at the hobby shop their rep in Lynnwood, WA (where their home HQ is, which is about 30 minutes from Seattle) would constantly call and email us about carrying Pops in our store and we constantly told them to go fuck themselves. Lol. They even tried to pull the “but you’d be helping a local business like yourselves as well as helping the local economy!”
This was about 6 months or so before they really blew up and you couldn’t go anywhere that didn’t carry Funko. There were other hobby shops in the area that were mad at us cause we didn’t drink their “helping the local economy/local business” kool aid bullshit.

Next Level decided that during the development of Luigi’s Mansion 3 that they wanted to prioritize Multiplayer DLC content as opposed to Single player content DLC
The TLDR of it is they felt more comfortable with making multiplayer DLC as a company as well as the ideas for multiplayer simply sounded better than single player.
Apparently you can "register for the Beta. I not going to bother to consider it even, as there nothing to look at other than cinematics and concept art.
So yeah that game for all but in name “fell off the face of the Earth”.
Sea of Theives came out first and struggled. I am guessing that UBIsoft didn’t have much more themselves besides a fleshier Black Flag ship mode and have run into a creative wall as to how to make the pirate life fun and make it into a platform.
