Video Game General 6.5: Now with more surprise mechanics

It was basically Assassin’s Creed’s naval battles: The Game, at least based on the original trailers

I wouldnt be surprised if it was one of the games that got temporarily canned to refocus its direction after the rainbow six? fiasco.

All their games are so similar now that i only remember it was a tom clancy one, lol.

Just wait until they make a new Rainbow Six with towers and open world next gen

Still kinda wack that once a tactical series got turned into a PVP eSports fiesta

Funny to me how the Rainbow Six Game IP is in name only.
Has absolutely nothing to do with the Novels any more.

Maybe the first Rainbow Six game, but thats it.

I feel like I just saw something that said that development was on indefinite hiatus or something?

Acutally yeah they mention it in that IGN link.

This was back in may 2018. When we thought we were going to hear about the game this year they didn’t say anything soo now nobody knows when this game is going to happen right now.

Much like many established names, Tom Clancy’s part only gets inserted into Ubisoft game titles because of marketability and recognition. Just like how Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey aren’t really AC games but are still carrying the series name for example

Methinks if we don’t hear anything about it at E3 2020 or 2021 - consider the project dead

This was the best FPS game next to Ion Maiden last year imo.

Graphically it dumps on just about every title out there. Character models aren’t as good as DMCV/REmake 2, but everything else visually looks better.

The game has a bit of a slow roll at first, but after that you’re plopped into a psuedo open world area where you can tackle the game however you want. You can go for main objectives, do some side stuff, explore for resources, etc. etc. I’d say about half of the game is like this, whereas the other half has a more straight-forward level design like the first two titles.

You’ll get more out of the game if you’ve played the first two games first. A lot of characters are from those two games. Your decisions matter too and it will affect the ending you get. I got a crap ending because I killed too many jabronis.

You can also approach the game however you want to as well, which is fantastic. You can go for a stealthy approach or you can go rambo.

Great game and one of the more memorable titles from 2019.

They delayed it till 2019, it’s 2020 now and they got nothing to show but concept art and flashy cinematics. They got nothing.

Project is already dead.

At least Ass Creed Origins and Ass Creed Odyssey is in keeping with that Universe.

Stick came in Tuesday, and the parts finally got here today. Went home for my lunch break to swap them out, and I’m very pleased with the end product:

It comes with Hayabusa buttons, so I swapped those out for the gold silent sanwas. Hayabusa and Sanwa are probably some of my favorites but I like Sanwa just a little bit more, I think. The less resistance in my button presses, the better, and Sanwas have always felt like butter to me.

This is easily the best stick I’ve owned. It feels amazing. It’s weighty, large, and doesn’t slip out of your lap. The start button and pad button are all VERY far away from the face buttons and the Tournament mode switch is very easy access. Don’t even have to look to switch it on. It also has macro functions, which may not matter to some but I find it nice to have the option. For example: grinding towers in MK11 or treasure battle in Tekken while I do something else.

I think the only thing I’d like to add down the line is some Gold Frieza artwork. Otherwise this stick is perfection as far as I’m concerned. Very happy with the minimalist design. My biggest gripe is I’ll need to get a Brooks adapter so I can use it on stuff other than PS4. But for the time being this is a super minor concern.

My guess is that it is either cancelled or pushed back to next gen.

Activision has several more remakes and remasters in the work.

 Oh Ubisoft

Lmao Jesus Christ guys. Ports late as fuck already, selling a “physical” copy with just the digital code in it, now delayed till who knows when if ever.

Game wasn’t even as good as everyone was talking about it being either. Probably the most over hyped game of last year. What a mess.

Outer Worlds isn’t a Ubisoft game.

Yea that would be Obsidian.

Hence is why I just going to wait till there a steam sale on it.
Everyone (at work) telling me to get it on Xbox game pass, and I am like “NO, I will pass on that”

Actually they have a legit reason for the delay. The development team is in China and their progress has been slowed by the coronavirus, in addition they are actually putting the physical version on a cartridge.

Shouldnt be outsourcing to China :coffee:

But good they are gonna go actually physical…if it ever releases.
