Alright, I’m confused. They’re delaying this game in NA because the English VA isn’t done yet… But the game has English voice acting as an option?? Like, fully voiced. Am I missing something?

i dunno maybe licensing or something whatever the case xseed or cygames games fucked up this time i was feeling kinda bad for them too after they got trails and ys snatched from them.

My very initial impressions:
-This game is fucking gorgeous.
-The English voice acting is actually pretty good. Everyone has tons of personality and every single character has very specific dialog with every other character. I love little details like that.
-It’s definitely gonna garner the Street Fighter comparisons. The gameplay feels slow paced and calculated. Lots of back in forth in neutral. It seems pretty simple to get into but the characters feel really unique. Gonna be cool watching these matchups unfold.
-Netcode isn’t anything special, but, of the maybe 2 dozen matches I’ve had they’ve all felt playable so far. Played some NA dudes and some Asia. Feels about as good, maybe a little better than DBFZ.
-Music is good, but it feels like a more tame Blazblue OST so far. I could come around to it tho.
-Characters online speak in the language of whatever the player selected. So my English lines will be met with Japanese lines sometimes. Weird detail, not sure how I feel about it.
-Chip kill. Hell yeah baby.
-Tutorial is pretty good. It introduces both Granblue concepts and general FG concepts like tick throws (and how to defend against them). Pretty large list of in game combos for each character to get you started. It also shows a little video of each move in the move list, alongside a brief description. I love this.
It’s been pretty fun overall. There’s already several characters I know I wanna learn.
Vaseraga is just about as sick as I expected.

It is an extreme of some sort.
Either the lack of system transfers/cloud saves is a by product of the team being extremely ill prepared for implementation of those systems by the intended release window. Or an extreme reaction to people gaming the systems of the game using save files/clock manipulation and etc in order to preserve their vision or keep things equal among players playing normally.
