Video Game General 6.5: Now with more surprise mechanics

KH3 RE:Mind coming in Jan

^ FF characters spotted, looks like Noctis at the end? Or maybe that Noctis knockoff from that game in KH3.

I suppose i will play the KH3 DLC then trade that game. Shit was ass, but interested in Yozora

Or you could just watch it on Youtube literally hours after the DLC drops like any reasonable person.

Isnt the DLC free tho? I may as well play it since its there. Im sure I’ll regret it but fuck it🤷🏾

They could pay you money to play it but if it’s for a game you dislike it’s a waste of your time and effort when you can just wait a bit, watch it on Youtube and not worry about it. Especially since it’s likely just one scene that will be only a couple of minutes.

Geoff Keighley clarifies on how many games will debuting at the GA

For those who don’t want to click. He says there will actually be “15 or something” (yes he literally says “or something”) NEW titles announced. As in Never before seen or promoted titles. Along with them will be several updates for current titles and news on confirmed titles coming out.

In the Q&A Feed he also talks about how long the show would be (2hrs or so plus a 30m pre show), mentions a lot is going to happen within the first 30 minutes of the actual show, how people can watch the show if they miss it and some other random questions.

I initially wrote this game off, but it looks phenomenal. I’ll give it a try once it drops.

I played Diablo II for almost 8 hours straight. They reset the ladder today and a shitload of people are back playing.

I haven’t played it in a few years but it’s still as fun as ever. I made it to level 64 or so, and I found a best in slot item for my build AND it hit a perfect roll. The all mighty Magefists Light Gauntlets. 20% faster cast rate mang, I’m making it rain hammers as a Paladin in Act 5 Nightmare. :sunglasses:

ha, this reminds me…discussing D3 with my old friend with the terrible character builds recently…kinda tooting my own horn about how godlike my characters are once again…he mentioned “that’s 'cause you made your wizard a glass cannon though”… haha, as if his characters could actually survive some shit my wizard can’t? Nig please  I can’t help but be endlessly entertained by the severe difference in “power level” at play there. I will admit to bringing up that game with him just to fish for more golden moments of hilarity like this…but I really should’ve brought up the point that in Archon form (assuming a Vyrs+Chantodos build, or Vyrs+anything, really), even the defense of a wizard is indeed GOD-level… you will NOT die easily.
The very concept of the Archon power-up is so op it’s hilarious: You get theoretically infinite scaling strength and defense per kill or even per enemy hit + a LOT of other shit going on, like a localized area of slowed time around you, a natural teleport, unlimited mana, immunity to all crowd control effects like freeze, stunning, knockback, fear, etc… It is pure god mode. The only weakness is the time-limit on the ability. It’s a surprise they’re only just now toning this muthafucka down.

^one of the greatest abilities I’ve ever had fun with in an rpg. I can’t get enough of that shit.

That’s actually a good question tbh but I guess it’s easier to find find “bad” reviews that offer nothing like the 0’s it got for not being a ps4 exclusive. I agree it should be implemented on other games too though, but it really should be reserved for troll posts and stupid stuff like platform wars.

Translation: we’ll have two or three actual AAA surprises while the rest will be some indy and mobile shit

You say that like it’d be a bad thing. A lot of indie games this generation have been better than most AAA titles. Mobile games have been getting better and better too. Especially when they’re actual games and not microtransaction related grindfests.

I look forward more to the indie games than the AAA.

If these Indie games can match the quality of Dead Cells sign me up and fuck a AAA. :triumph:

I’m not. What I AM saying, however, is that more often than not these kinds of teases turn out to be not that big of a deal in terms of announcements themselves. Case in point: Spencer hyping up this year’s Xbox E3 showcase with over a dozen first party news or something like that, while in reality it was like two actual game reveals and the rest were just DLC or much more minor stuff

Same thing with Gamescom back in August

TGA will be no different

Only thing mobile games have been getting better at is sucking money from your wallet

Not really? Just gotta know what you’re looking for.

I have dozens of games on my phone And tablet. None of them have micro transactions.

They have paid DLC expansions that actually add to the game. But not microtransactions.

Outside of that there is usually the OPTION to make the game ad free for $2. Which I’m fine with paying. Even if I wasn’t the ads aren’t even remotely as aggressive as most MTX or Gatcha related mobile games. It’s usually just a small banner at the bottom.

I don’t do clash of clans or anything like it, or any of the mobile ARPG MMO’s, or tactics games or shit like hearthstone. Those are money sinks.
