Finally got the last item from my Black Friday week haul. So now I can show off my spoils of war!

This was the first time really doing Black Friday shopping so I kinda went a little over board but outside of a few digital titles I Had budgeted for everything even before the birthday gifts.

I had been wanting to get them for a while but they were always too expensive or just werenāt in my wheel house of what I was interested in playing ATM.
I had an ex that was obsessed with Yakuza games. Iād always watch her play them. I thought the story modes were really awesome. Memorable characters, great environments, very subtle but seamless world buildingā¦etc. I just never liked how the gameplay looked. I thought the combat was interesting but not enough for me to want to go out of my way and try it. If that makes sense?
But with the Kiwami titles a fresh coat of paint, buffering out the rough spots and reworking things made me interested in finally trying them for myself.
The stars really did align when it came to this Black Friday. My birthday, payday + our quarterly bonus and then Black Friday all within a week or so of each other. I had to capitalize on the opportunity.

I played through The Punisher last night and Alien Vs. Predator tonight on my MAME cabinet and damn, the art style that Capcom had back in those days is really impressive. And it looks SSSSSSOOOOOO good on the old school CRT monitor.

Yeah it was awesome. It did feel a bit long though and got a bit repetitive, but it was still pretty damn cool and fun. I just love the pixel graphics from back in the day though. It just has such charm and style to it compared too a lot of new stuff we get now a days.
