Where is this from?
a sad little snapshot into where the games industry is going⊠whenever 1 of the few in a fanbase like the Diablo community makes a post about âthere should be an offline mode for D4â, you notice more and more how the average gamer is starting to side with and even defend these insanely greedy ass companies
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d3/t/make-an-offline-mode-for-diablo-4/5261/29
Iâm halfway tempted to join that forum just to argue with some of those people. Anyway, the result continues to be the same usual repliesâ

not our fault your internet sucks
-
internet is the future, get with the program

duhhh you never owned your games, dude <âI really hate this idiotic nonsense; it honestly makes me want to punch things. No one ever was referring to copyright and trademark when saying they owned something they bought at a store, you fucking morons. If you bought a Polo shirt that doesnât mean you actually own the BRANDâŠbut yes⊠you do indeed own that particular shirt. Jesus H Christ, manâŠ
there is no real hope for the future of this industry, because most gamers are going to just let the companies get away with any kind of nonsense they want.
SMH at some many people drinking the kool-aid. They must be in an bubble to truly believe offline gaming is on the way out.
Not the pirates.
Yeah, I really want Diablo 4, but always online would be fuckin poop.
Imagine having to be constantly signed in to play Diablo on Switch.
Yeah, fuck that.
Those Diablo-esq style Hack and Slash on Steam and GOG looks better and betterr
they also seem to forget or shrug it off as no big deal that you canât even play in the beginning of the gameâs life. Diablo 3 and if I recall⊠that latest SimCityâŠhuge shitshow when they started. Servers were overloaded with everyone trying to get on at around the same timeâŠresulting in some people simply not being able to play a game they just bought. Itâs amazing how many were presumably just ok with that. âOh well, guess Iâll just play this new game tomorrowâŠor in a few daysâŠor whenever they finally fix the servers⊠no biggie.â Absolutely amazing how much they just all roll over and accept things that should be unacceptable. (meanwhile, various suits in the industry just laugh it up like âwowâŠso they paid to get the game right awayâŠbut they canât playâŠbut theyâre only slightly annoyed? They just paid us for nothing I guessâŠhahah that works for me.â)
this article they pointed to in that thread also makes some of the points
https://www.nintendoenthusiast.com/online-only-games-as-a-service-i-feel-bad-young-gamers/
There is no future to this sort of game, unless of course itâs just an insane level of success that just keeps on making money like WoWâŠand even then, those games are still destined to go away at some point, never to be played again.
D3 already ruined me on the series before they revamp the title from the ground up
I am not touching D4 with a 11 and a half foot pole and Po holding the stick.
Forced online for Single player is a No-Go for me.
Is really that hard for Blizzard to have separate save files for offline and online like they did with D2?
Its too hard for the top corporate execs to wrap their heads around it
The album is âHell is Other Demonsâ. I donât know if it is on Spotify. Indie artists use platforms like bandcamp for their music. if you buy the album there, you have the option of unlimited streaming, and download either 320kbps MP3âs or FLACâs files, which is pretty cool.
edit: actually, scrolling down it says the album is a OST for a Steam and Switch game
Hell is Other Demons is a juicy arcade shooter with bold color schemes and a heavy synthwave soundtrack. Jump into the hooves of a demon out to kill a bunch of other demons as you progress through an extensive campaign and dominate wonderfully over-the-top bosses. In addition to the pulse-pounding maximalism of the campaign, fans of classic, high score-based arcade games will find a cozy home in Arcade Mode, which offers unlimited, procedurally generated action and endless replayability. @MARTIAN if you buy the album, share the goods
from the mighty Morbid Angel!!
Grim Dawn has offline play, itâs one thing PoE and d4 donât do.
Wolcen is supposedly leaving early access next month. Itâs been in early access for like three years and steam reviews reflect this. I kind of want to buy it, but on the other handâŠearly access for three years man. They say ita releasing next month butâŠit could be lies.
It looks pretty cool. Theyâre saying theres an actual combo system to the game which is sounds and looks amazing.
^sheeeiiiiitttttt that transformation at the endâŠTHAT is what I like to see; transformation âunleash my true powerâŠâ skills are always welcome in any game for me.
Iâm looking for some recommendations from people for good arcade games for a tournament. There is a catch thoughâŠ
This is going to be on my arcade cabinet with pi2jamma and I want to try and play a game that people who donât game can enjoy. Something along the lines of a Mario Party type of game. I want it to be something head to head too.
The 1 seed right now may be Bishi Bashi Championship, but the only catch is itâs only in Japanese. I can figure it out with the demo videos they show, but I feel like people who donât know about games will have issues with it. There is also a graphical glitch that starts with one game and from there on out there are more glitches. I am going to see if it works on another emulator though and see if it glitches out or not.
If I canât find a party game such as that, or just some game that takes not much skill to play, I might just do an NBA Jam tournament with people who want to game.
Still waiting on Wolcen. I treat it the same way I did Final Fantasy XV. Doesnât exist till I see a copy on the shelf.
Bust a Move, Magical Drop or Puyo Puyo.
Itâs looking like Metroid Prime Trilogy is coming to Switch in HD. Supposedly weâll be getting news at the game awards in mid December.
I will shit my pants.
Bust a Move was on the list too, I was thinking that as well.
I actually found a Bishi Bashi rom that works fine, itâs the Super version which doesnât have any graphical glitches. The only thing is that it like doesnât end (at least longer than 12 rounds) so I am not sure how to really turn it into a tournament. Maybe we can say itâs like a best of 5 rounds or something.
I was just playing around with NBA Jam and NBA Hantime, and I might do one of those. I was leaning NBA Jam just for classics, but NBA Hangtime is so more over the top with the alley oops and stuff. But the roster of NBA Jam is so prime because of how good the NBA was back then.
My pi2jamma project is officially done and itâs in itâs home spot. Just took a pano of my man cave with it in itâs spot.
This wouldnât surprise me. Nintendo always likes dropping huge announcements at VGA. Plus if the cycle continues like it has since the Wii U weâll be getting a direct around mid-late January to talk about all the Q1 and early Q2 games
