i didnt have a problem with it at all in the same way i didnt have a problem with Total Recall.
because regardless. i was entertained.
while that is probably the most positive and mature way to look at it man i just canāt. but i suppose thatās what makes it super memorable so in that sense i guess i was entertained.
Fuck that noise.
Well, as I expected⦠itās a very slow drip-feed of character content in Gears 5. āOperation 2ā details were released recently, and the 2 new characters are Baird and Lizzie Carmineā¦yep, just 2 characters.
Itās such an odd approach to go that damn slow, when you consider how much content is going on in other games at the moment⦠itās pretty obvious they took some slight influence from Overwatchā¦now they also went at an annoyingly slow pace imo and only released 1 character at a time⦠but if I recall, each character in that game had several āskinsā to unlock and choose from right awayā¦
Horde mode in particularāI doubt any of the fans have ever wanted it to make sense in terms of the storyline⦠so why not at least include the several alternate versions like āClassicā Baird, or āDB Industries Bairdā where he has the labcoat, or those old āzombieā skins for everyone, the weird color variants, etc.? Sheeeitttt, Iād go even further out in left field with robotic versions like āCybernetic Bairdā or āCyborg Variant Marcusā, āRobot Domā, etc., or āLambent/Infected JDā, āLambent/Infected Kaitā⦠āSwarm Mutant Hybrid Domā etc. etc. etc.
Thereās sooo many obvious ways to improve this game, imo⦠but the sad thing is that I realize they wonāt happen.
I liked GoW1 a lot and thought CoO was good, but GoW2 had too much of that āopen a door on the other side of the room and try to get to it in timeā bullshit. I bought the game new and traded it back in before I even finished it.
Got a general question for you guys here, and this isnāt a gotcha or anything, Iām just curious as to the responses.
If there was something like a Spotify for games that had libraries of a lot of old school (PS2 and older letās say, but also NES, SNES, DOS, MSX, etc) games that are generally out of print/hard to come by/expensive, and you could download the games via a steam type client to your PC/console/smartphone/whatever, would you pay something like $10/month for that? Why or why not?
Again, not try to gotcha people, Iām just legit curious what people think.
I wouldnāt because I buy those games anyway.
I probably still own all that crap so nah lol.
Youāre a collector though, yeah? Do you replay a lot of the games you buy or not so much?
Well I donāt like to use the term collector because a collection insinuates itās something to be looked at but not touched. I prefer to call it my Library. Libraries are meant to be used.
And yes Iāve replayed everything Iāve bought at some point or another.
Yes I would. PC is my primary gaming platform so I donāt mind game clients at all.
i dont pay for old stuff again, and when i pay i want to own it.
emulators on pc for old stuff and i am fine.
I do too actually but thereās quite a bit I found out about and wanted to play but didnāt really want to buy outright so I went to rom sites. Me personally Iād prefer an option that involved some of these companies getting a bit of money for their older games as I feel like maybe if a company like Konami had revenue coming in from old ass games on the regular maybe it would make them feel less inclined to make pachinko shit, but maybe thatās my naivety talking.
Fair enough, Iām kind of the same way actually except I donāt have my older consoles hooked up for the most part.
Same usually. Although thereās a lot of games I bought over the years that I donāt really care if I own them or not. Bloodborne, Dracula X Chronicles? I absolutely want to own them. But thereās other stuff the i bought, played, liked, but will probably never play again. Games are kjnd of like books for me, most of them ill probably never play again after my one time thru them.
This isnāt even everything either. So yea I just donāt have much use for a service like that, personally speaking.
Thatās a respectable library!
Thank you.
I kinda already do that with Nintendo Switch Online. Just started playing super metroid again.
