I’d thought about shelling out for PSNow but with them not supporting it for Vita anymore, I don’t see as much reason to get it.
Don’t exploit this goodwill EA, you raggedy bitch.

Question for the Pc heads
I’m getting an Nvme ssd and I’ll be plopping w10 and steam on there. I have two older hdds from my old rig that I want to use as my main storage, both were used with a w7 pc.
Will I be able to see the files I had on the two hdds no problem, or will I end up having to format them?
I’ve heard I can use ide to SATA cables to view files on old ass ide drives so I’m hoping it’ll end up being similar.
Why would you risk your old drives failing instead of getting a new drive to move the old files onto?
P.S. The problem you may run into with older drives is the power supply compatibility.
I am getting new drive. I said so in my original post and that’s where the OS is going.
As for the power supply thing, these are modern SATA III 7200 RPM drives that are still the standard when it comes to platter based drives. Both drives won’t be storing important shiiiet, mostly videos and music while the new drive I will use exclusively with steam and the OS to give her a long life.
You shouldnt have any kind of problem with the old hdds.
I personally think that it would be better if you used anew hdd to save the content on those hdds on them and leave those for external storage.
But that is just me.
Ide to sata cables work fine 99% of the time.
Your only worry should be that due the converters you will have some slightly slower access to them, but is susually not noticeable.
I mean you all can’t tell me this isn’t cool, just how I have this hooked up to calibrate and test it out lol. Went to some guy last night who fixed my monitor and it’s so much brighter and vivid now, basically brand spanking new looking.
I’ll be putting both of the hdds inside the new PC.
I just want to know if I can view the files I had on them, or if I have to format them. They were both used on a w7 pc and my new one will be w10.
If I can that’d be great, it will save me a lot of time. If not I will have to re-download a ton of music, movies and shows.
Windows 10 uses the same disk partition as w7.
So no problem there.
Ooooh excellent.gif
Now I’m wondering if programs and games I had on there will boot.
Steam black Friday sale started. Do I want Negan for 5 bucks, or do I pay 20 bucks to get like 7 characters, 6 of which I won’t use. HMMMMM
In theory you shouldnt have problems with games for W7 running on W10.
And if so, there is always compatibility mode
Only issue with old games booting is Win 10 is not compatible with games with the SecuRom DRM package. There always No disc hacks and GOG to get around this.
I’m glad I should be able to view the files I had on those old hdds. I had a over 2TB of shows, music and movies on them. I’m going to nuke the steam install I had on one of them which will free a ton of space.
Did more research and I’m 99% going with the following:
AMD Ryzen 3700X. 3900X was almost twice the price so I’m going to get a cheaper processor but the hard drive and mobo I swapped to are more expensive
16Gb corsair 3200 Mhz ram
Samsung Evo 1tb NVME ssd. Was going with a regular ssd before Hawkingbird mentioned Nvme, which led me down a rabbit hole.
ASUS prime motherboard with PCIe 4.0. The last mobo I was looking at was slightly cheaper without pcie4 support. I’ve been rocking Asus mobos for like three or four builds now.
Well. Uh, this is certainly something.
Well that is awful news if I ever heard it.
I guess support for Beat Saber on other VR platforms will cease. This sucks for fans who have it outside of oculus.
Totally.
It would be nice if they did what M$ did when they bought the company behind minecraft, and kept the support for the already existing platforms (and iirc, they released it later on switch)
But i wouldnt hold my breath for it.
