To be honest I’m hesitant to recommend anything with an Intel CPU. You don’t have much of an upgrade path without swapping out your motherboard. Plus their CPU performance keeps taking hits from all the security flaw patches.

I’m still hoping that’s not the final meter design…
The other thing to consider when you have a PC packing that much power is that you’ll need good monitor (I’d go for 1440p 144hz free sync with that one) so really reap the benefits. A 60hz/1080p monitor would be a total waste.

I expect some changes that will be more in line with traditional FGS meters.
But seeing the rest of the GUI, i dont expect anything resembling the old metal vibe it had.
They seem to be going for a more Overwatch-esque GUI design.
Another thing I like about the M.2 drives is that there’s no cabling needed- less clutter that way.

All that hardware talk made me forget that I wanted to share that Guacamelee 2 is $4 on Steam right now. Hell of a fun game, and damn challenging if you want to unlock maximum pollo power.

ha, and oddly enough that reminds me…there is a “Guacamole Monster” boss in the game Skylanders Imaginators…and it’s one of the most disgusting creatures I’ve ever seen in a game. Just thinking about it and remembering the visual… I might need a sprite or pepsi in a minute.

there’s some great customization in Code Vein… but for some reason, once again Bandai Namco doesn’t seem to believe in letting the player character be bald. I don’t think there’s even a “buzzcut” option…I guess a cultural thing, most likely… (also funny that their idea of a “buff” character is not all that different from the characters with slim or average builds) and most of the styles look like women’s hairstyles, actually. I’ve made my character but that’s about it so far.
Gears 5 has double exp for Horde mode character xp this weekend so I had to jump on that for a bit. After all this time I still just have 1 character on 1 of my profiles that’s level 15.
oh yeah—another fun moment as Jack earlier today… Carrier monster showed up, and there happened to be a Scion with a mulcher nearby so I body-hijacked that one…the Scions with mulchers are another good choice… the damage I unloaded then on the Carrier was ridiculous.

Well, I am not sure why they had “2 hours left” on that sale earlier…perhaps an error; now it says there’s 7 or 8 days left on it…so I can still get Iceborne for that small percentage off later then.
It frustrates me to no end that Gears 5 is such a mixed bag and even disappointing in certain ways… the incredibly slow pace of them putting up content is only going to help kill off this once great franchise. When there’s so many other good games out there to play, I don’t think you can afford to only release 1 or 2 characters at a time, or launch with all characters having only 1 or 2 skins in addition to a “no duplicate” rule in Horde…to me that just seems like you’re almost hoping to drive away the fans within a matter of weeks or even days. Apparently Operation 1 is about to end, so we’ll see soon whatever is next, content-wise.

I might go Crusader this time just since I hear it’s gloriously overpowered now with the new set…which is a good thing; that character class definitely needed help, imo.
…ah, but I see that Vyr’s/Chantodo set Wizards are still kinda godlike… the power is so tempting…
EDIT—ohhhhh this week’s Challenge Rift is SO easy it’s laughable… that build they put up is insane, man…I beat that rift with a lot of time to spare, and it was quite an easy build in terms of how it worked. (a Crusader with the Legacy of Nightmares bonus, primarily leaning on blessed shield as the attack and crazy amounts of defense…I only got close to death once, and even then I would’ve been auto-resurrected by the Akarat’s Champion form)

Agreed, I see a 1080p 60hz monitor as a budget option for game consoles and not for mainstream PC use. An 1440p 144hz freesync monitors is at that sweet spot.

I’ve brought from Etsy before. I brought some hats and pillows from the site. Had nothing but good experiences. Be beware that most sellers are small businesses selling home made goods so the progress can be slow.
