It’s not a movie man.
It is why i have seen saying for a long time that ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ opinions and posts are worthless.
This nigga hasnt even played the game and is trying to convice people who played it that is bad.
LMAO.
Preeeetty sure that’s gonna get patched.
Perhaps, but as it is now, it seems like it is intentional
Which is what i expect from a game aiming to the small brain crowd
Watching YouTube videos of games gives me a pretty good idea whether I’ll like them or not. Death Stranding looks like a game I don’t want to play.
Jedi looks like a game I DO want to play. So if I’m going to drop $60 on a game, it’s not going to be on a game that looks boring to me.
But I typically don’t like games that aren’t focused on fun gameplay mechanics. Watching videos of Spider-Man or Sekiro made me want to actually play them. Pretty much any Bethesda RPG looks not fun at all. They might nail the open world and deep RPG elements, and those things are their strengths. But I prefer videogames that have more tactile feedback. Not saying those games like Skyrim or Fallout are bad. Hell, I’ll even say Death Stranding isn’t bad (or good), but based on what I’ve watched of it, it doesn’t have the typical elements that I generally go after when choosing my games.
There are exceptions, of course. RDR2 has terrible controls. But it’s a western, and I fucking love westerns. So I can give the controls a pass because it has plenty of other qualities that appeal to me personally. And I knew that it would before playing the game just based off of the videos I watched before purchasing it.
I might not be able to talk to some of the deeper points of the games I haven’t played that I’ve already decided I don’t like. But I also don’t really need to, because I’m not going to play those games.
To be fair, a lot of our fellow gamers in deed and purchase have not proved them wrong.
The truth has been spoken
I guess there are some games where just watching a Youtube video is enough, but there are a ton of games where watching a Youtube video has you missing out on 95% of the experience.
Suda51 games. Swery games. Hideo games. Silent Hill 1-4. BioShock. Nier. Shenmue. Yakuza. Shit, even games like the Diablo series, PoE, Grim Dawn etc. have a lot going on within the worlds themselves with the way they tell their story that is lost when watching a Youtube vid.
In the case of Death Stranding there seems to be a lot going on with that game and watching a video review of it won’t do it justice compared to actually playing it. Games aren’t movies or music, you’re meant to actually play them, and there’s a huge disconnect to watching a random video on a game compared to actually playing it.
Just look at the whole fallout 76 playerbase.
Or the people who keep buying WWE and NBA2k games despite releasing with the same fucking bugs every year.
WWE games have 2K20 bugs EVERY year? That’s actually surprising to know.
Oh yes. Lol.
They don’t happen as easy and frequent as in 2K20 but they always been there.
Oof. I’m glad I stopped fucking with wrestling-type games after Def Jam: Fight for NY then. Good high note to go out on.
Speaking of Def Jam has there been any news regarding that one L.A./Miami/etc. poll by the IP owners?
The shitty state of WWE games makes me wish Fire Pro Wrestling makes a return
Hell give Fire Pro Wrestling the WWE license, along with all the Japanese and mexican wrestling associations so we can have true international matches.
EA holds the rights of the IP, and after Icon i doubt they want to revisit it.
Add that they are only interested on franchises that are easy to monetize amd require s,aññ nvestment if possible.
